Tropical Dreams, Mermaid Food, and Wishes on Wheels Oh My! 1st PTR

redundant much?

Well, actually...

wait don't answer that :crazy2:

Oh, okay. Nevermind.

June has me in a tizzy and it is but the 1st- scratch that-2nd day.

Oh, I hear you.
Dance rehearsal tonight.
Dress rehearsal tomorrow afternoon.
Three nights of recital starting tomorrow.
Then another 16 hour shift to end the weekend.

Looking forward to getting out of town for a few days!

Loved all those movies. We bought them (alas, on VHS so we can't even watch them now) when Elle was little.
She fell in love with them too.

Well you do seem super busy...but never to busy to squeeze in some Disney movies lol!! I've gotta start doing that...there are so many characters my kids don't even know...definitely have to aim to watch a few before...October lol. But yeah...June is a busy month all around so I hear ya!

I'm laughing at your "Peter Pan was a scamp" comment. When we were there fall of 2013, it was Wendy actually that I wanted to wallop with my park bag. She kept making since comments and remarks as Peter was signing the autograph book for DF and DD. I kept looking at the CM like "is she for real?".

Of course I'm a reader! I've literally been reading longer than I can remember.

When I was in grade 4 (so... 9 yr old?) I got so engrossed in the book I was reading that when the bell rang for recess, I didn't even hear it.
I didn't hear all the other kids get up and leave either.
What I did hear was a <click> as my teacher took a picture of me reading.
I had that picture for a long time, but alas, with a few moves, it got misplaced.
I still have the book, though.

Ha - I did this once during lunch. I had no clue the cafeteria had emptied until one of our lunch ladies asked me why I wasn't back in class.

Up to date on yours as well dear!

I totally understand this! My son is on his last week of school and it looks as if my daughter may have state testing this week, blegh. End of school year cannot get here soon enough.

Awww :) it is one of a very few nicknames I've never minded being called. Also the cousin that gave it to me is a really good guy and always has been when of my closest relatives.

I do too!

She was a complex woman with many good and not so grand points, and I miss her in every way. :lovestruc

The Stand is one of my faves, I got my love of reading from my mother. :) I think so too about the slide looking like Pennywise the Clown, that thing gives me the willies!

 Ditto.

totally get that

Hehe my son does the same thing, my daughter is quite used to me bursting into tears for happy and sad things. lol.

Oh I'll bet it was just beautiful! That song makes me cry too, and it would be such a special moment watching your child sing it!

It does indeed, and at least this time he was right, he enjoyed learning that too. lol. DDP relaxes him, which makes the time better for all of us.

Nice! Good that he has some preferences as well. I think planning is most fun when there are others taking an interest as well. :D

It looks like such a well themed and beautiful resort with some of the best food at Disney! One of the vacation within a vacation sort of resorts-which I think are going to be my favorites lol. If there were any transportation options besides bus we would plan a stay there as well. Can't wait to read more of your plans!

I'm sure the bus situation would make AKL very hard for you. I'm debating getting the dining plan for our stay next January. With my two older kids being Disney adults who don't eat that much, it might not make financial sense. But I admit it's nice to have it pre-paid.

I'm here, I'm here! I'm completely AWFUL at keeping up with PTR/TRs, but I will do my best, I promise!

When Celeste was an itty bitty thing she liked Cinderella. Now as a..hmm...less enchanted teen she bowed out of watching this one, and only deigned to leave her room when the film was over.
Oy, she's at that age. My condolences! :sad2:

I personally found the entire film to be more charming than I had remembered it being, and the character of Cinderella is actually quite a sweet, generous, strong-willed soul, with a little sass! Pleasantly surprised how enjoyable this one was. *smiles*
Now you're making me watch to watch it! I actually haven't in years, despite owning it. I might hav to pop it in one night this week! princess:

The Rascal really loved Lady and the Tramp and the whacky cast of character, but especially Lady.
This is hands down one of my FAVORITE Disney films, and has a very special place in my heart! When I stayed at Pop Century last September, I requested the 50s section specifically for these two! Imagine how tickled I was to get a room just 3 doors down from Lady! :cutie:

I have not abandoned this PTR or any of you lovely dears that are here! We had Gramma's memorial -which was heartfelt, sassy, and beautiful just like she was-, wrapped up the kids school for the year *woohoo* and re-registered one of them (homeschool but through a school district), and then got sick. :crazy2:*grumble grr* Which made the RA, EDS, and chronic migraine crap flare like something else. :confused3 Trying hard to screw my head back on the right direction, but just wanted to say hi, and I miss you muchly...

 Hope things start settling down and you start feeling better soon!

BTW, the head goes on counter-clockwise.
(Been wondering where you were!)

Hi Rebecca
I've been following your PTR and have seen you on many of the other threads I follow. I was actually worried that you weren't feeling well since I hadn't seen you comment much lately . I love your personality and really enjoy reading your PTR. Looking forward to hearing how you like the Poly, I've always wanted to stay there!
Be Well

Kelly

:welcome: and BIG  to you Kelly! I love reading your posts too! Will you be doing a PTR? If so I'm signing in for that! :D Thank you for being here dear!

Aw, thanks for that! I'll probably be starting a PTR sometime this summer, but I've got ssssooooo long until our trip I didn't want to start too early! You're a doll :flower1:

Hey Glittery!

It's been a wild end of the year wrap up around here too, including a busted arm, oodles of celebrations (not because of the busted arm), and freedom from school gone crazy. Hope things settle down for you soon, and that head ends up on the right direction when it's all said and done. ;)

Hi :flower3: thanks for answering my question about the resorts. :thanks:For giving me insight. I'm panicking about going now that I can't move like I would like to. I don't tend to go a lot of places but I've not gone to DW since 2009 and I really want to go. I am really looking forward to reading your thread!

.... All caught up. Sorry to hear about your mom from what I read looks like awesome person. It seems to me like she's passed that on to you and you on to your kids. I am glad to have met you today.

I also have a movie you may want to add to your list. Child of Glass was done in 1978 and it's one of my favorites. Of course being born in New Orleans I love the old plantation and the old dresses. But I think your daughter would enjoy it like I did at her age. popcorn::

So sorry to hear you haven't been feeling great my bestest buddiest glittery friend. Sending you nothing but good vibes and virtual hugs (and lots of extra sassiness!) Remember that you are great and if anyone can get through this its you. Miss you muchly too!
