Help!!! I have been searching for tropical clothes for myself at all the stores, and they don't seem to have anything for women!! There are a ton of them out there for men and boys, but nothing for me.

If I can't find anything, do you think I will be able to find something in St. Maarten, either a tropical shirt, or sun dress. We are going to shop in the town where the ship docks (I can never remember the name). If anyone has bought tropicalwear there, do you remember the names of the stores, and approx. how much they cost.

If I don't find anything, will I look totally out of place in just casual wear?

We leave in 7 days, 4 hours, and 51 minutes ( but who's counting!!) so I don't have time to order anything online or in catalogs.

They say its very easy to find tropical clothes in St. Martin, and cheap too, like under $15 for a dress. I probably won't be wanting to wear large flowers very often, so I'll spend as little as possible!

Mickey's Mates (store on the ship) has some swim suit coverup wraps in a Mickey logo tie dye design--at least they did in October.
I had a floral one from Nassau that I wrapped around and tied like a skirt and wore it with a tank top and my flower lei that they give out at dinner. Wore my Tevas on my feet--easy outfit.
Some people just wore normal summer dresses.
Don't stress--have a great time.

You can get them right in Philipsburg in St marteen. Take the $5 water taxi over and walk into town. There are plenty of stores that have them in every size imaginable. They are cheap too.We use ours as beach cover ups during the summer when we eat at the boardwalk, etc so they were defiantely worth it.

If you want nice tropical clothes that you can wear other places do a search for Tommy Bahama on the internet. I used google and found some good sights. They have beautiful shirts, capri's, sundresses. Didn't take long for delivery. I also have bought items in St. Maarten, very cheap and they looked nice. Kathy

I bought a wrap skirt and tank top at the flea market in Marigot for about $18 total. It's nice enough that I was able to wear it on casual days at the office when I got back.

I have been wondering the same thing. I wanted to have my whole family in some tropical print for pictures, and I thought I'd never find something in the same print for me and my DD. However, I did. I searched under the words "Hawaiian Apparel" and "Tropical Apparel" and I found a few websites. I thought this one in particular had pretty nice things at a NICE PRICE. Don't worry, there is a myriad of shops, stalls, and street vendors on the islands, you can't miss them, they tag team with the hair braid ladies to accost you as you wander around! It's actually not that bad...:)

I bought a pair of tropical capri pants at Gordman's a week ago on clearance for $5. They had a rack of tropical dresses, skirts and pants all for clearance.

I bought a tank style dress in St. Maarten in this little shop located in a courtyard across from the chocolate shop. It was cheap-under $15. I also got 3 sarongs which I think were 3/$15. The dress is cute-I still wear it because it's so comfy and cool.

Too late to help the OP, but I love Paradise on a Hanger.

They have TONS of Hawaiian shirts for men and women, plus dresses, skirts and shorts. Even some tropical cummerbunds and ties to snazz up those tuxes with a bit of whimsy!
