Trip Tip: How to get to the front of the line

Universal Express did allow multiday ticketholders to get 3 Universal Express passes at once. Then it changed to one Universal Express pass for everyone.

Oh, that stinks! This seems like USF is going backwards to match WDW. With all the other advantages thay now have over WDW, I hate to see them go backward. Do you know why they did this?

Thank you for all the valuable info. Is Universal Express available to any one or do you have to be a resort guest?

Using the AAA AP, I think you can have 3 passes out at a time. Went with my DD on 12/28/01 to USF. Got an express pass for ET, then went all the way around the park and got an express pass for Kong, and the machine let us have them. We rode Kong first, saw the WWW stunt show, then did our ET ride.

Having the magic hotel key will allow you to bypass the lines at the Express Pass machines. They are working better with less errors, but it's a line none the less. Plus the machines for MIB shut off early in the afternoon (run out of tickets), so hotel guests will have a huge advantage on that ride.

Hi Barry,
I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions...
  • [*]If you stay on-site, can they add the park pass onto your guest room key card? Do you need a key card for each member that is staying at the resort to use FOTL or is one good for up to how many people are with you?

[*]It looks like the Universal Bonus Pass seems to offer the best deal for the money as opposed to the "2 Day 2 Park 3rd Day Free" or the "3 Night Length of Stay Pass" offered to those who book a room through the Universal Studios Vacations website. Am I correct that any of the multi-day passes, once they are used on the first day, are not like the WDW passes, in that unused days expire within a certain time frame?

[*]Are there any other ticket packages available for USF and IOA we should be aware of?

Any assistance re: the above  would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

OK Barry, I'll apologize in advance for my question-I just don't know how this works.

We purchased the 7 day bonus pass special. We will be staying at the Swan for 10 nites and doing Disney also. If we stay one nite at one of the Universal Hotels (such as the first nite we arrive), is our FOL limited to just the next day? Or will we have really no access to it since we would have to turn the key in when we check out? Or are they mag-cards that they let you keep and we would be able to use the first full day or even longer?

We won't give up our Swan ressie's as we have a fantastic rate-it's so good I'd could tell you but then I'd have to kill you! But I didn't book us in until Monday nite and we (95%) chance will be arriving in Florida on Sunday nite.

You get to keep the key. It is valid until midnight the night you check out. You will be fine for the two days that you want to do Universal & IOA.

Thank you. We could actually go later in the day on Sunday then and spend Monday there too. Maybe check in Swan in afternoon and go back in evening?

Do I need one for each child too? Do they scan them somehow? The 9 year old would stay with me so I would think I would not need an extra one for her?

My three children and I will be staying at the HRH (first time on-site) the end of May, and I'm wondering how many of the rides/attractions at US/IOA have an "express line". I read that a few of them don't have it, but does that mean that ALL rides/attractions have that entrance, except Pteranodon Flyers, W.W.Coaster, i.e....?

Thanks in advance for info!!
