This is a bit late, but thought I'd post a little something about our 1st trip to DLRP.

We went to DLRP (last minute trip) the last weekend of May. Drove up from Brussels on Saturday for 1 night.

Day 1 - Saturday:

We departed right after lunch and the drive took us 3 hours. There was one toll we paid at 12-13 euros.

Checked in at Citea Torcy. We booked this through bookings.com a couple of days before our trip. We paid 81euros for a one bedroom / living room / kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator. We have 2 small children so the larger space was quite nice. This room was very, very basic (reminded me of a motor-home). But, this is what we expected and we did not mind. The rooms were neat and clean which is important to me.

After a short nap, we went to Disney Village. Had dinner at Planet Hollywood. I printed out a coupon from this link:

http://www.planethollywood.com/partners/VisaProgram_2008-2009/

which gave us 10 euro's off our meal. You have to pay with a visa card, but what a significant deal. Minimum purchase is 20 euro's, which you will have no problem meeting when you eat here. I heard meals were expensive, but wow -- I was quite surprised to see a children's meal at 13euro's each. (We are from the US, so I still do the US conversion thing so that's $20 US per kid!). Anyways, my 2 kids ended up splitting an adult meal which was less expensive.

Parking at Disney Village was about 4-5 euro's.

We had some rain on this day, but not a problem with our umbrella's and raincoats.

Day 2 - Sunday:
DLP!! : ) We got to the park a little before 10am. Went straight to the Guest Relations Window (to the right side as you are approaching DLP). Paid for one Francilien pp and a Fantasy pp (with free children promotion) and got our temporary passports in exchange.

Went straight to the Annual Passport Bureau (no lines!) and got our passports straight-away in about 20minutes.

**A little disappointed, however, when I found out I could not get reimbursed for the parking I paid that day. I was under the impression that they would reimburse me for this. I was told that they don't do this anymore? Parking was 8 euros.

We spent the whole day at DRP. We had a wonderful time!! Previous Disneyland USA fans and passport holders, we were not dissapointed w/DLP. In fact, we can't wait to go back again for a longer duration. We feel that there is still a lot more for us to see plus want to check out the Studios. The weather was perfect--warm, no rain, and longest wait was 30 minutes for the Pirate Ride. A perfect day. We ate fast-food lunch and dinner since we were on a tight schedule. With the PP discount, the meals for 4 were about 20euro's total for family of 4 for each meal. (We had our own water bottles with us).

We left the park around 7:00pm, because we had a 3 hour drive home.

I'll try to write more later, but am pressed for time...

Looking forward to more DLP memories!!

Sounds like a fun trip. I wish I could get from my house to DLP in 3 hours!! Lucky you!!

Me too!

Glad you had a great time :wizard: but it was disappointing about the parking not being refunded.

Hope you get to go back soon. :goodvibes

Sounds like you had a fun-packed day. Bet everyone slept very well that night lol.
