Trip report of a 14 yr. old girl

Entry 3 1/2

Merida!!! Ok, we were only 3rd in line, and one of the kids in front of us looked like one of her little brothers! Red curly hair and everything. Once it was our turn my DMom asked a few questions and so yeah, it wasn't as exciting as I'd hoped, but it was still Merida.

Then we went to Small World, just across from Merida. My DSis loves SW, my DDad agrees to disagree. We only made him ride it once. I got a little carried away with pictures in there, but I'll spare you most of your time.

After SW I was itching to go on Space Mountain, which was a ways across the park, but we made our way there. :)

I liked this SM better than the one in WDW. It was smoother and you could ride next to someone. Instead of in a single file row. That's how we even got my DSis on it. And she loved it! Afterwards she had some back issues. But I fixed it, being a certified chiropractor and all(No I'm not. Kind of an inside joke) DON"T WORRY! It wasn't from the ride. We all rode it again later and she had no problems at all.

Still enjoying your trip report. We are a build a bear family as well. Although to be honest my kids might have 20 animals to the four kids total. But my 13 year old daughter just had to go there this past weekend when we were at the mall. ;)

When we went to DL in Spring 2011 the girls both got DL exclusive outfits for their bears with the ears and all. Cute.

Now back to our regularly scheduled trip report. :) can't wait for more!

Now, the rest isn't really embedded into my brain, so forgive me if some of the things we did are all wacko. Right now I'm mostly going off pictures.. Next I think we rode the Finding Nemo ride. "Is everyone ready to find Nemo!" "YEAH!" Then a little kid says, "Whatever." Not like it's boring, just like going along. Let's find Nemo, okay, whatever you say, kind of thing. Anyway it was cute. The ride is actually underwater. In submarines! To get in was a little tough. And once we got seated, there were, let's just say I was surrounded by shorter people on my left. And my family on my right. Normally this wouldn't be awkward. Except when I sit, my head is above everyone else's, even my DMom's. But when I stand up, I'm average, and shorter than my DMom. So yeah, I have a long torso, and I had to bend over, or slouch to really get a good view out the window.

This picture below is actually in SW, but I thought it would go with the theme. I didn't get any pictures inside the Nemo ride.

Ok, I think I made a teeny tiny mistake. After SM, now that I think about it, we went over to the Innoventions (I hope I spelled that right) area. But right before that we went to Autopia, and rode the go cart cars. We, I believe got a tan one, and my DDad and DSis got a purple one, anyways, we were behind them. That's really all I remember. Oh, and the petal was hard to hold down for such a long time. I don't know how some of the, like, 8 year olds that rode by themselves held the petal down. Unless for some reason they got an easier cart. And then after that we went to Innoventions. Where we put on Iron Man's suit. That's really all we did in there.

Can't wait for the next installment! Love all the details. It's fun to follow along someone's trip since we don't have another planned until Oct 2014.

Entry 5

Like I said earlier, I don't remember everything very clearly from this point. From the Subs I think we went to Toontown. Where we saw GOOFY"S HOUSE!!!! If you couldn't tell from my name, Goofy is the BEST Disney character out there. Goofy was also meeting in front of his house so figuring out how to get in was a little "less" simple. But we HAD to meet Goofy, it was the first time I'd seen him this trip. (Hey, first full day ain't bad ;) ) He was just about to leave, but we managed to get in the line before workers started blocking it off.

We had to go around through his backyard to get into his house. (Goofy doesn't own very many things; couch, chair, piano, etc.) Our feet had begun to hurt so we sat down(not long enough) in Goofy's backyard. It wasn't long before my DSis wanted to get going again. So we went over to Minnie's. She was in her doorway meeting too, so we had to find an alternative path. Luckily, she has a backyard door too. I got a picture of her in her doorway from inside her house.

After that I think we rode the gadget ride (I don't know what it's called), we stood in like for like 45 minutes to ride a 5 second ride. I'll admit it was fun, but too short.

Now here's where I'm all mixed up. I know we sometime in here went to Chip and Dales tree house, and Tarzan's tree house. I don't know if they are very close to each other, but that's all I got.

From there I think we just made our way around the park. I think we were headed by Frontierland and my DMom saw some canoes on the water. Of course we wanted to ride them! We had to make our way all the way around the water, but soon we found it, obviously. A guy working there told me I was pretty. (A guy at the airport called me Ma'am) On the ride there was a big strong man in front of me, and two seats back a little kid. It was hard to keep up with the man in front of me, and the kid behind didn't know how to paddle really and kept splashing me. "There's one word for this water. Yummy." Since I was on the right side, my right shoulder got preeeeetty wet. I felt sorry for my DSis who was sitting right in front of the kid.
I didn't get a picture of the canoes, but I did of the ferry.

Also some ducks.

Then I think we headed back over to Tomorrowland. We rode Star Tours. After Star Tours, my feet couldn't take it any longer. I wore the wrong shoes for a long day at a park. So yeah, not too smart. So me and my DMom went back to our conveniently located hotel just across the street of Disneyland. It still didn't feel close enough. Once my shoe dilemma was over, we went back to Tomorrowland where my DDad and DSis were waiting. They had already ridden the Buzz Lightyear ride. Astro Blasters? So we all got in line to ride it. Since Pixie Hallow was just next to Buzz, we went there next. Since there was such a long line, we thought all of the fairies would be there, so we waited too. Finally we got up there, but to our disappointment, only one fairy was there. But not too disappointed, because it was Fawn. The only main fairy we had never met(in WDW we met the other main four). After THAAAT, we got bored and started for California Adventure, just for the end of the afternoon.
MAN that was a mouthful! :)

Entry 6

In California Adventure, we went straight to Cars Land.

And then to Radiator Springs Racers!

Then we ate at Flo's Café. I thought the food was good, but my DSis decided to pick all of the little potato skins out of her mashed potatoes.
Then it started to get pretty dark so we could see the little town lit up.

After that we decided to leave and go back to Park Vue.

Sorry I'm really lazy today and kind of only posted pictures.

Cars Land looks SO COOL! But I saw a vid on YouTube of Radiator Springs Racers and I think it's almost like Test Track but with a different theme.

I have to admit that I liked Radiator Springs Racers better than Test Track. And I LOOOOOOOOVE Test Track. I think Radiator Springs Racers had a funner theme and a longer ride. It also had more to do.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been really busy these last few days.

Entry 7

It's our second full day. Off to California Adventure for the day. That morning at breakfast we saw a guy drive up in a golf cart. Then the ducks started guarding it while he went off somewhere.
Sorry it's blurry, remember I took these with my iPod and it doesn't zoom.

So in the park we had to wait at rope drop, but they make you walk with them till they get to Cars Land. Otherwise I think lots of people would be trampled. But we had a game plan. Today we were going to head straight for Toy Story Mania instead of Cars Land. DDad waited in line for fastpasses for Radiator Springs Racers while we hurried to TSM. We got to get right on the first time with only like 3 groups in front of us. The second time we got to go ahead and ride the other handicapped one since they needed to fill both of those carts and the handicapped people filled the first one. After we exited the second time, my DDad was waiting outside with the tickets. So we had to ride it again so he could. The line then was still short, only like seven minutes, and then we were done with the ride. (Sorry I didn't take any pictures there.)
After that we went around the little body of water with the World of Color show and rode the rides around there. (I will post pictures, but don't count on them being in order.)
I think I took this pic while riding the Jelly Fish ride. (I think it might be called Jumping Jellyfish, but not positive.)

This is on top of the Ariel ride. At one point we rode that too.

We also rode the Symphony Swings. My DMom took this one of me.

Entry 7.5

Again I have lost track of the exact order we did things so it might get a little wacko from here. At some point we rode Goofy's flight school ride.

And at another point in time we watched Goofy conduct the water.

Oh, and after riding the Goofy ride... to help with my aching feet, my shoe decided to break. After that my family was not very pleased. Since earlier that day I had already complained about my feet. We traveled what seemed like all the way around the park to find some shoes. Finally we found some in a big store at the front of the park. I can't remember what the store was called. But these are the type of shoes I got.

Again I'm not sure what we did next. I can't remember if we stopped in Animation Studios (I think that's what it's called) and sat to rest our feet for a while.

While we were there we went to Turtle Talk with Crush, which was pretty funny. I think we went to eat next. I can't remember what it was called, but they had the BEST potato soup EVER! (I am a huge fan of baked potato soup). I have weird obsessions. Don't judge me.

We saw Goofy all dressed up in a suit on the way to lunch. (At least I think that's when we saw him). Sorry if I'm confusing. I have a bad memory.

Entry 8

I am not sure whether we fixed the shoe incident before or after this, but anyway, we went to Cars Land after that. I think. I am pretty sure we rode the tractor ride (I don't know what it's called). Maybe you do. Sorry, I'm not very good at this.

Ok sorry this post is short, my computer for some reason won't let me into my Photo Bucket account anymore. Will have to post more some other time. Sorry again. :badpc:

Entry 8.5

We went around Cars Land. That's really it. When it got to be evening we went to the World Of Color show which was super cool! I took a vid on the whole thing. It drained the battery completely, but I still have the video. It was the most AWESOME water/light show ever! I loved all the movie scenes they had in there and of course all the colors.
This picture was taken right before the light show.

Then it got started

:)

Entry 9

Again sorry if I'm doing a bad job at this. It's my first time and I waited too long after the trip to start so I don't remember too much. So thank you soooooo much those of you who have hung in there. Your viewing is very appreciated. :thumbsup2

So it's the next day. Usually trips to Disney World go by really fast, but I felt our Disneyland trip was going by really slowly. My feet were so achy so maybe that was why it felt slow. Since that trip I have gone on runs and my feet would peel super bad. Then I ran 6 miles for Cross Country Camp a couple weeks later which didn't help. Even the couch grimaced when he saw my feet after I ran. I don't think he grimaces at too many things since he does coach a lot of sports and seen some bad injuries. So yeah, back to the topic on hand, my feet hurt. This morning we were going to spend either the whole day or most of the day in California Adventure. (I'm pretty sure it was the whole day.) This time my family all hurried to get to Cars Land to ride for the first time all together instead of single riders. The four of us got a car to ourselves too, so that was nice. We rode it again in the single riders line the next time. Then my DDad, DSis, and I went on it again while my DMom went to get fast passes for it so we could ride it again later. After we were finished riding it the third time, my DDad, DSis, and I took a picture with Red. Then we stopped at all the photo passes people on the way out of the park. DMom was surprised to see them all when we got home. And we were like :rolleyes1 .

Edit: Will post more later

I'm still enjoying! You're doing fine. I recently finished our photo book from our Nov 2012 trip and it was hard to do this far out! World of Color is the absolute best Disney night time show! Loved it! Nothing compares.

Entry 10

EDIT: Thanks everyone for the comments! They are very appreciated. :thumbsup2

Soooo, on with the report! We met up with my DMom at the Bugs Land entrance. I loved Bugs Life the movie as a kid. I must have watched it 10,987 times! It was too bad I didn't go to California Adventure as a kid. I would have never wanted to leave Bugs Land. We made our way through Bugs Land slowly. At some point after that we got to the Monsters Inc. Ride. (I still want to see Monsters University!!) I didn't actually get to see Monsters Inc. until a couple of weeks ago at camp. (Actually we had it when I was little, but I was too little to remember it so it was like my fist time seeing it  ) I liked the ride. I didn't get to see (remind myself about) the movie until after California so I didn't exactly understand it, but I still liked it. There wasn't a line so that was a bonus. At the end, Roz is sitting behind her desk and makes comments about you and such. (More Disney Magic!) She said, "Hey you in the back!" (EDIT: me and my DSis were in the back.) "Nice hair. Wanna trade?" We couldn't help but giggle. She never has any change in her voice, which makes it funnier.
Once we got off the ride, my DMom wanted to see the Aladdin show. We had to stand in like for about 15 minutes, but it was so worth it. The show was very well done. The Genie part was very funny. And Carpet was so cute! Aladdin and Jasmine also sounded exactly like in the movie too! We got to sit up top in the front so we had a really good view. No pictures are aloud, but I wish I had taken some on my iPod. My iPod was on dim and on silent before the show anyway, so it wouldn't have bothered anyone. Anyway, after that me and my DDad really needed a nap. We were dragging, literally, my feet hurt so bad, I would walk on them weird. We were just about to head for the hotel for a nap when we saw where Rapunzel and Flynn were doing a show and greet. We couldn't miss THAT! In line, we sat across a family that started talking to us. One of the women standing there was Disney Bounding with Snow White. She was happy we could tell it was Snow White she was Disney Bounding after. So then they asked us what we had done so far. (We told them we were in California for the first Disneyland/California Adventure trip. Then they told us they lived in California.) We told them how awesome we thought the Aladdin show was. Then the Disney Bounding girl told us the Genie in the show was her cousin! We told her he did really well, and she promised us she could tell him that. So that was cool! (Sorry, I'm good at stating the obvious.)
When show time for Rapunzel and Flynn arrived, we were unable to get seats in the front. Actually we were really squished together because I think they tried to fit everybody. The show was pretty funny and creative. (No spoiler alerts ;) ) After the show me and my DDad decided to go get a nap before the fast passes for Radiator Springs Racers were due. My DSis and DMom stayed and me Flynn and Rapunzel. I really, really, really wanted to meet Flynn, but I wanted a nap more. My DSis told me they were really good, especially when she told them our cat's name is Flynn. (Actually he's more like my cat, my sister had a different cat that was named Noodles. Also one that was named Derek. I had another one named Chuckles. But those three all disappeared. I thinks it's because they wanted a lady friend. Any way it makes me a little sad so I'm going to stop talking about it.) That got them going.

EDIT: OH MY Gosh! I'm like telling you my life! I'll try to stay on topic. Oh and sorry if I like say the word 'like' a lot. It's kind of like a habit.
