We just got back from a 4 night stay at Royal Pacific Resort and spent 3 days at IoA and US. We had a great time!
I recommend everyone include some down time at the pools. We got to enjoy the pool a bit, but not enough!
Express is the way to go ! We wouldn't go back w/o it. We went on rides without much wait and saw people in long lines as we went past them using Express.
We used the free lockers, and someone had recommended going "to the back" to find them and now I understand.
We found more to do at US, but loved bits and pieces of IoA. It was worth getting up real early and getting to do Harry Potter an hour earlier! We got in to Ollivanders and FJ and got Butterbeer without the huge crowds we saw later in the day. In fact, a warning to all ... but the afternoon Hogsmeade is hard to walk through because so many people sit there and crowd the streets. But the Butterbeer was our favorite treat!
Loved the water rides ... and YES ... you do get extremely wet.
We went to US early too and there are only 2 things open that first hour ... but it was worth it!
We recommend Jimmy Buffet's restaurant and Bubba Gump ... also loved Mytheos in IoA. It was incredibly hot while we were there ... so afternoons were difficult, but all in all a great trip. We have three teenagers and they loved the rollercoasters. Mummy was a favorite of ours, and was Jurrassic Adventure.
We saved money by bringing our own breakfast snacks and drinks kept in a cooler. Just loaded it with ice each evening. The free lockers help when you buy stuff in the parks, and we had wands shipped to our room !!
