Hey peeps! I just posted Day # 11 - our Sea Day on the blog. DH spent about 8 or 9 hours working on my computer this weekend & it is running much better now. He wiped everything off & did new installs on everything...so I'm still getting stuff set back up. I ran into a couple glitches but at least I was able to publish today without freezing up.

My teen keeps telling us how we need to get rid of our old computer and buy these new ones that he's picked out that are super fast (and great for video games)
We keep telling him when he gets a job to pay for this new computer we will go out shopping

Hi - I am ALMOST done with posting Day # 12 - Palma. You probably caught it in the 1/2 done stage if you looked at it this evening. I had to leave to take DS to swim practice down in Rockville tonight so I haven't been home all night to finish. These torrential storms rolling thru this evening have had the internet coming in & out all evening according to DH.

I seem to have more problems now with the slideshow when they have the little preview pics on the side / bottom. They take a long time to load...I may need to stop using that preview feature. The computer is still not a super power but it's definitely better than it WAS!!

I bought a Groupon Deal yesterday for a 16 x 20 canvas print. It's like enlarging a photo to that size but then they print it on a canvas like a painting & wrap the edges with it too so you can hang it unframed. NOW I have to pick WHICH picture I want to do that with!! I'm thinking either one of the little boats in the Cinque Terre or one of the quaint little street / architecture pics from either Villefranche or the Cinque Terre. I have so many I love that are such a neat representation of the area....

OK...Day # 12 - Palma de Mallorca is done & posted. I'll start working on Disembarkation & Barcelona over the weekend if I feel up to it.

(DS has a swim meet with 6:30 am warm-ups both Sat & Sun and I know how getting up at 5:00 will make me feel by the afternoons so it will probably take me awhile to get caught up.)

So I'm working on our first day back in Barcelona...hoping to get it posted by sometime on Wed. if all goes right...

WHEW!! FINALLY got Day # 13 posted. Having more computer freeze ups. Lost count this evening on how many times I crashed. DH insists that I need to completely re-work how I have the blog set up. Says I am going to have to separate everything onto different pages. I have too much on one page. The text isn't as much of an issue (I have it saved in a Word doc.) but the pictures ARE a problem. There's just so many. I doubt I can just "copy" them. I will work on our final day in Barcelona as soon as I can...I may make it a new page to see how that works out...

So sorry for you, you still having problems with your PC.

I'm not a comp specialist but you may also try to back up ALL the data of your pC on any portable hard drive or burn it on a few DVD and reinstall a proper operating system (windows ?). Or alternatively, try to scan with softwares like spybot or norton or anything like that in order to check if your computer has some viruses or trojans or spywares or anything which makes it freeze so often.

If I can be any help, feel free to ask.

So sorry! I know this feeling all too well. I think it's a memory size issue (for me anyway). I'll try to mess with it again later. Right now I'm too fuzzy. I didn't get to bed until midnight & had to get up at 5:00 to get DS to a 6:00 am swim practice. It's a gray overcast day & not even 9:30 am here yet & I'm ready for a NAP despite 2 extra large cups of coffee! I am too old to function on this lack of sleep!

Thanks - DH is actually an IT guy so he was messing with it this morning again when we got home from practice. He still says I have too much on one page and I need to split it up so the pages won't have so much to load all at once. You must have a really good computer if you're not having any issues with it loading. I'm glad it's working for you.

Sorry, no, I haven't forgotten about it. I was actually just thinking a couple of days ago that I need to finish it. I got frustrated when microsan reported that not all of the pictures were loading for them either and I sorta quit. So then I started working on my photobook that I wanted to order from Shutterfly. My parents are coming to visit (I think) for Thanksgiving and I thought I'd try to see if I could get that project pulled together and ordered before then so I could show them the book. I guess I'm a little ADD...I get distracted easily by shiny objects! NOW I need to CLEAN HOUSE sometime in the next week too before Mama comes! I'll get back to it sometime! Promise!!

Hi Luke!! No such thing as being too late to the party!! I'm afraid I really dropped the ball on finishing up the last 2 days where we went to Montserrat & then got delayed getting home. I tried to get back into the site a couple days ago and just couldn't stand how slow everything was loading. I realllllly need to revamp the whole site & separate every day into its own page. Meanwhile I still haven't ordered my photo book. I think the holidays really distracted me!!

I sure hope you & Paula had a great Christmas! Sorry you've been cold...we've been above normal warm...don't mind it so much 'cept it's gonna start messing up our ski plans later in January if it doesn't turn around soon.

Do you have any plans to visit this side of the ocean in 2012? We've booked 6 nights at WDW at the end of March for our spring break...and may be going back in August. Had hoped to visit the new DVC at Aulani but don't think we can swing the airfare...

Hey LeAnn,
We had a quiet Christmas really, just nice to have some time off and relax!
It's actually been unseasonably warm/mild here too, just very windy! Hope the weather gets to a better state for your skiing soon

We are pretty much vacation-less for 2012, but hoping to get to wdw and do the cruise we booked on board the Magic, sometime in 2013, maybe easter.

Aulani looks amazing, but I know what you mean about the airfare. It's the only thing that really keeps us from going stateside as often as I would like
