I felt this report was important for families who have little ones and it maybe helpful. The dates of travel 4/20-26. The people involed in the trip were; Myself(DH 39), DW (33), DD's (4, 1).
First off the the Weather was great mid 80's all week no rain, But if you travel with your kids, and need to rent a stroller (do not use or rent one from the park!) We all know the prices have increased, so go to www.abbf.com and rent from them, we rented a front to back double stroller for the week at $83.00 for the WEEK. Best thing too, it was delivered to our resort and we could take it anywhere, parks, buses, resorts. The other thing is to remember to use lots of suncreeen on the kids, we sprayed ours down several times a day. We stayed at ASM in a perferred room, Fantasia bldg. Is was a basic room with no frills, but when we thought about it we bascially stayed in the room to sleep only, so we did not expect much else. The resort was clean, and the pools were great to use. The only problem was the food court, very crowded and breakfast or lunch took forever to get food, basically I would get our DD's meals and by the time I got my DW or My meal the kids we done and ready to go.
Parks, we had the park hopper pass and basically spent 2 full days a MK, this was the place that my DD wanted to see, cinderella's castle and the daily shows were a big hit for my DD. To see her beleive in the magic was worth the trip. We also spent time in AK, Epcot, DHS and Typoon lagoon. We loved the all. Now for parents you must expect that the crowds will be long, your kids will not want to do stuff that you want to do and they will have meltdowns! relax you on vacation! The one thing I saw during my week was that in the beginning parents were happy, smiling and fresh. By the end of the week, I was and saw peopl being tired, upset and I even saw two females get into a shoving match during the 1040 show at Cindrella's castel. Expect to be tired, your feet will hurt and you will need to take a break. We took severla during the day, maybe it was a meal, maybe it was going back to the resort. Remember it is a vacation and it is not about you.
Food; We had the DDP, and we ate several different meals, quick service, counter service, table service. All had variety and we honeslty did not have anything bad to say about the food. We enjoyed being able to have a fruit and cheese meal for our kids. We acutally have some meals left over because we were too full to eat at times. four places we ate at were Maya Grill, spoodles, Chef Mickeys, Lunch with Cinderalla, All were Great! I would recommend SPoodles voer Maya grill only because of the location, spoodles is located on the Boardwalk and we were able to dine outside. The meals were served timely and the kids meals were way too big, but great. Cinderella's lunch was great, the princess and seeing my DD dressed up was the best. We really enjoyed Chef Mickeys as well. These are must do's!!!
The trip was a success, my kids are still tired and recovering, but we will come back in a few years when they are older and can enjoy other rides. I hope this can help out for those who read this.
