We went to Disneyworld December 27-January 1. We stayed at Pop Century, 50's section. I didn't like this section, too far away from everything, although it was quiet (probably because we were not near anything.) Our room was dirty (first time this has happened to us at Pop)--there was 2 huge cobwebs up in the ceiling and the bathroom floor obviously hadn't been cleaned very well. We cleaned the cobwebs ourselves--the only time we were going to spend in there would be to sleep so we didn't bother to call housekeeping.
We went to EPCOT around 6pm the 27th and rode Norway (45 minute wait) and Spaceship Earth. Had dinner at the Sunshine Seasons in the Land.
The next day we went to EPCOT, got there at park opening and rode Nemo (which was a great ride) then did everything else. Had lunch at counter service in China, I had orange chicken which was good but almost got sickening after eating the whole thing. We noticed on the Living with the Land ride that now there is a recording telling you about the ride, instead of a person. That night we went to MK and it was so busy we only got 2 things done: Tikki room and Pirates of the Carribean (1 hour wait).
The 29th we went to MK, we did Pirates and Jungle Cruise then went to Fantasyland (we were a little worried we would be waiting for rides in Fantasyland if we didn't go there first but we were ok). We had Mk done by 11 am except for Spaceship Earth and Buzz Lightyear. We ate at Columbia Harbour House and Tommorowland Terrace noodle station (our first time there-it was ok nothing great)
The 30th we went to MGM, got FP for Tower of Terror and Rock n Rollercoaster then rode the Great Movie Ride. Then we did Lights Motor Action, Backlot Tour, Bugs Life Playground then it was time for our fastpasses. We went to the 1st showing of Fantasmic, which as always was awesome. We ate at Pizza Planet (very good) and got CS somewhere across from Beauty and the Beast. The food at MGM is the worst of all the parks, IMO.
The 31st we went to AK, got fastpasses for Exp Everest and Dinosaur then rode the Safari. Had lunch at Tusker House-got the rotisserie chicken which was very good. We went to Conservation Station and a CM recommended going into these little rooms where you put headphones on and the room darkens and you listen to sounds of the rainforest. VERY GOOD. Kids loved it. We did the Jungle Trek and watched the gorillas (or apes?) for a while. We saw the new Nemo show and it was good. My DH said it's right up there with Beauty and the Beast, but I disagree. It was good not great. We were flying home the next day so we didn't stay up for any fireworks or anything, but they woke me up at midnight--they must have been awesome fireworks.
Sadly we didn't see any dream maker CM's (I thought they were everywhere) and therefore didn't have any wishes granted.
It was a great 4 day quick trip to magic. But I am just now recovering! We were up at 6:30 am every day and at all the parks by opening, which you had to do at this time of year, but it's exhausting. I'm looking forward to our slow paced summer trip!
