Tuesday 3 April
Having covered Discoveryland and Frontierland the previous day we planned to do Fantasyland and Adventureland on day 2. We arrived a little bit late for rope drop at 10am and so raced round through the side entrance to Fantasyland between the towers. Luckily queue for dumbo was short so rode this before picking up FP for Peter Pan. Then did lots of the other rides in fantasyland before our time for Peter Pan. After this the queues for everything were too long. We had brought snacks in for lunch and had these in the playground at the indian village in frontierland. DD1 and I then went on indiana jones. We queued for a long time for POTC. Jack Sparrow was outside and we waited for a while to get a signature but the queue did not move - eventually gave up. Since the queues were so long for everything we did a bit of wondering about until time for the character tea at 5pm at Plaza Gardens.

The character tea was great and would definitely recommend. Arrived 10 mins early as instructed but had to wait until 5pm to be let in. The food was lovely - lots of cakes, fruit salad, bread rolls, yogurts, croissants, and hot breakfast type food like sausages, omelette etc and as many hot and cold drinks as you like. My children all found lots they liked and they are fussy eaters. After we helped ourselves to food the characters started circulating. The characters were Eeyore, Pinnochio, Tigger, Geppetto, Friar Tuck, Mr Smee, Pluto and Goofy. Some children were following the characters around. I told ours to stay at the table because all the characters would come to us. I was wrong! Eeyore never made it to us which was disappointing but we did see him on another day.

After tea we went back to fantasyland and did Alice's maze. Then we finished up the day doing Orbitron. This is the first time that the queue for this ride looked managable. I have always told the children that Orbitron is the same as Dumbo - I was wrong again! Orbitron is faster and higher.

You managed to do a fair amount:goodvibes

We found Eeyore was slowed down by a pro-photographer, was this the same for you?

Orbitron is pretty dif to Dumbo, I think I would prefer Dumbo at GMF with no queue. The Q for Orbitron seemed to take forever.

Great day 2 :thumbsup2 so much fitted in!
