We visited Disneyland last week Monday and Tuesday. We went to California Adventure Monday morning/afternoon and Disneyland Monday evening and all day Tuesday. We got SOAKED Tuesday!! It started raining around 10am and never stopped. The only good thing about this was the crowds went way down.
We started with Soaring which is an awesome ride. We have rode it at EPCOT and didn't see anything different about this ride. Tower of Terror is way different than MGM's ride. MGM's is better. You don't go down a hallway--which is what I was expecting--it drops you right away! I like going down the hallway -all the special effects in that ride are so cool. We rode the new Monsters Inc ride which was good. Aladdin was closed-we were so disappointed! We rode a few other rides in the kiddie section. I don't really care for this park. It doesn't have the "Disney feel" to it. We were done with this park by 3:00, then we headed over to Disneyland
At Disneyland we went to Fantasyland and rode some rides, had dinner (chicken strips and fries) (I can't remember the name of the place somewhere in Frontierland) and rode Haunted Mansion. We haven't been to DL in 2 years so we can't remember if this was always this way: The fortune tellers ball with her head in it was floating! Is this new? I know it doesn't do that in WDW. Anyway, we went back to the hotel after HM. The next day we got to the park before opening, but it didn't help us as much as it does when we go to WDW, because we weren't staying at a DL hotel so there were already DL hotel guests on the rides for EE. We went straight for Peter Pan but had to wait 15 minutes or so. Usually we walk on everything when we can use EE. We did all the Fantasyland rides, then it started to rain. And it never stopped. We just kept going though. We noticed on Buzz Lightyear you could remove the guns to shoot--that was way better. We missed having Pirates open. DL's Pirates is the best, IMO. Indiana Jones was awesome! That is Disneys best ride I think. Around 3:00 we decided to head back to the room to dry off. We went back to the park for dinner at Redd Rockets Pizza Port. We always like it there. Then we rode Space Mountain, which we haven't been on since they re-did it. It is so much better! Much more smooth, better special effects.
We had a great trip except for the rain!
