Just returned from a fabulous trip to Disney. Stayed at PPH so we had EMH all 3 days. I cannot say enough how awesome the EMH is. If you can stay on property and you can drag yourself and your kids out of bed at the crack of dawn, it will payoff BIG TIME.
We arrived at the hotel at @ 6:00am, checked in, checked our bags and we were in line at security by 6:25am. Got through security and ended up 1st in line at the gate. Walked with a purpose and were one of the first walking down main street. VERY cool. Did all fantasyland rides that were open - matterhorn 2X - Buzz, Star Tours and Space 2X, all by 8:05am. Pulled FP for Space at 8:05 return time 8:45. Then did Indy 2X, Pirates, and pulled a second FP at 8:45 for Splash. Then Haunted, Thunder, Pooh and Jungle. That was a total of 16 rides by 9:30/9:45ish. All with little or no wait at all. We continued to ride rides with short lines and pull fast passes every time our last one became ripe. By the time we took our break after lunch @ 2:00, we had 2 fast passes for Indy, Splash, Thunder and Space.
When we returned in the evening it was all fast pass rides and random rides that had wait times of less tan 15 mins.
Next day we did the same thing at California Adventure. Ended up 1st in line at the gate, and after using the Wide Right technique I had read about on another thread, Our party was first in line for RSR!
Some people may say that it is too much to have such a structured plan but I gotta tell you, you can accomplish SOOOO much with little or no wait time. I have to admit, I dont have the patience to wait in line for 30 - 50 mins. for a ride, so for our family, following the plan is now the norm. Everyone knows this will get us the most bang for our buck.
Our oldest daughter is 22, and bought herself an annual pass. She goes with her friends and is now teaching them the "ropes". They are amazed at how well it works. They say she is the "Queen". But she learned it from us, who learned it all, right here in the Dis Forums. So thank you again for a most magical Disney adventure.
