Back last week from a great week at Disney. :D Only 1-2 complaints -- otherwise all was great. My dad, my brother, his wife, their 6 and 4 yo girls, me, hubby, my 6 yo and 18 mo. Nine of us and we all got along and one got lost once.

1/20 --Uneventful flight. Noted Nat'l Guard sporting M-16s (?!) in airport security area on my way out and lengthy lines waiting to check thru security.
--Arrived Polynesian, Requested crib at checkin-2pm. Rooms not ready. My dad, brother and family had been waiting for a while for their room so they could change. Reported an excellent meal at the Kona Cafe. 4pm and our room still not ready, brother and dad in theirs--Tahiti Lagoon View. 5pm, room still not ready. Room comped for the night (thanks!). Hit the pool and the Volcano Slide (!!). No crib delivered. Excellent dinner at Kona.

1/21 --Quick breakfast then off to MK. Saw the Cinderella show in front of the castle-it was great!! We hit FantasyLand, and FP'd Buzz Lightyear (which my son rode three times). Crowds were light, but I couldn't tell what it would be like without it being the holiday. Caught the fireworks from across the Lagoon, finally got the crib!

1/22 --Character breakfast at Crystal Palace with Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger. Pooh never made it to our side of the restaurant, but the characters were a big hit, food and service were excellent. Finished MK with FrontierLand, tried the Aladdin ride, and LOVED the new Tiki Birds. Headed over to Animal Kingdom - Saw It's Tough to be a Bug. Headed over to Dino-Land for the new TriceraTop Twirl. It's like Dumbo and Aladdin- pleasant enough. HATED the new "midway" area adjacent to the ride (on the way to Tarzan show). How can we get charged to play midway games while in the park?? And I think others were of a similar sentiment since there were no/few players at these attractions. The new roller coaster looks like it will be great when it opens. LOVED the Tarzan show. Make sure to catch it. Took in the Parade which was great. Saw Regis and Joy Philbin at the end of the parade munching on some popcorn with friends. Collapsed at Poly pool. Light dinner. Took in the Lagoon light show.

1/23 --Day off. Hung out at Poly pool. Awesome. Dinner at 'Ohana -- watched our kids hula hoop. Great, if too much, food.

1/24 --Off to Epcot. Got there too early forgetting they don't open until 10am. Walked into Test Track - twice (fun!) w/no lines. Took in the Land (30 min wait), some went to character lunch at the Garden Grill. Excellent review for the meal, and some of us ate at the food court down stairs - missed the Nestle Cookie place :-( with the kids. Off to the World Showcase. Loved the Off Kilter band in Canada. Hubby was Sir Galahad in the U.K., then Cyranose de Bergerac in France. Sampled champagne there too. We continued on the quest for stamps and mask enhancements at the KidCot stations. This is a great attraction for kids in a more "adult" park ... But beware! We wore ourselves out trying to get around the entire WS getting stamps. We split up - some stayed and some went back to the Poly at 6pm.

1/25 --Off to MGM. Hot and humid day (82*) :sunny: . Took in Beauty and the Beast (great!) and the Tower of Terror. Not as good as I remembered - short-ish lines, but cast members weren't as "into" it as I remembered. Still a great ride! Hubby not well and sat to cool down/rest in the Animation gallery near Playhouse Disney. Did Playhouse Disney which my kids loved, and then headed back to the pool due to the heat and fatigue. Hubby ill, stayed with the little one and the rest went to Epcot for dinner. Ate at the Rose and Crown which was very good - everyone was a member of the clean plate club that night, including the three kids! Hit Spaceship Earth on the way out, and saw the fireworks from the Monorail heading out.

1/26 - Breakfast at Kona. Tonga Toast is awesome!! A fond farewell to the Poly and WDW. Off to airport and went through security easily despite long lines (20 mins?).

We were very lucky to go on this trip and hope to head back in another couple of years - we're saving now!
