Well, where shall I start.
After a late start to the airport and dealing with that stress we made it into Orlando just fine. We used MH Transportation instead if DME and they were awesome. They even picked us up mid-week for a day trip to Universal.
Our first room at the BWV was a 1 bedroom boardwalk view which was located about 72 miles from the lobby. Room 5001 - top right corner....just below the last wave on the Crested Wave building near Jelly Rolls. This was our first Boardwalk view experiance. I've read many saying that these rooms are loud and such...I kind of fluffed this off. But guess what your right. Even on the 5th floor I could hear coversations outside of Jelly Rolls. There was one night that a shouting match started at about 2:30 AM. The room was in great shape, new sleeper sofa and very clean. No complaints there at all......The kids did like sitting on the patio and looking at the Epcot Ball.
The last part of our stay we moved into a 2 bedroom so my in laws could stay with us. This was a prefferred view overlooking the Luna park pool. The room was not very clean and the wife let me know. There was toothpaste all over the sink and even on the bath vanity. Bathrooms were so so. The bifold for the laundry was barely hanging on. But to me these are minor things and we cleaned them up. The kicker for this room is that again it was the 5th floor, room 5076-5078. We could hear the motors for the elevators especially at night. Up and Down....sounded like some one drilling slowly into a piece of wood.
I figured I would give some of the negatives. But we did enjoy ourselves, it is Disney after all.
For those of you planning a trip and needing to rent a double wide stroller....Disney is now selling Koolcraft strollers. It was cheaper for me to buy 2 strollers for the week then it would have been to rent a double wide.
Also I have a question about the motorize carts that were everywhere. Do you need a handicap or doctors note to rent one. I saw more people on those carts then ever. Hopefully this doesn't sound harsh, but 75% of those on them were lazy. I saw a family of 3, each with a cart stop get off and basically run to the bathroom. With limited numbers of them, I assume, this could mean that a person that does need one may not get one.
