Back from a wonderful stay at POP. Our party consisted of myself, DH, DS 5, and DS 2. The kids absolutely LOVED the pools and the huge icons that were at POP. I would have to say that the Goofy Pop Jets was probably both of their favs with the Hippy Dippy kiddie pool a close second. Bought our mugs and the kids were amazed with the fact that they could have as many slushies as they wanted each day! Truth be told mom enjoyed it also. We spent the first 3 days, yes 3 days at HS for SWW. We were there before opening and then just after lunch each day. By then the kids had had enough of waiting in line to see characters and the heat. All three boys really enjoyed the atmosphere of SWW. Infact, a Jawa tried to trade with my DS 2 for his binky. The Jawa actually was given his binky and put it into his thingy he carries and tried to give DS a ball. He was having no parts of that and said "Please" with that the Jawa gave back the binky and went onto DS 5. DS 5 asked for an autograph, well the Jawa gave it, but kept the red sharpie clicky pen (DS favorite color). DS was not too upset as that is the price for an autograph from a Jawa.

Now I said that this was a trip of firsts. Well SWW was one. Being in Fla in June was another. My oh my does it get hot. IN NJ it gets hot and sticky sometimes, but not each and every day! The pools at midday were very welcome. My DS 5 is usually a very picky slow eater who we usually need to bribe to finish. Well let me tell you, this trip for some unknown reason, we put food in front of this little bugger and it disappeared with no belly aching! Not sure what got into him, but were we ever happy. Now my DS 2, he usually eats like that, but not this trip. In fact, I am amazed that he did not lose that much weight from not eating.

Potty training-my DS 2 for about the last 9 months has been trying to use the potty on and off by himself. Well, just prior to our last trip in March he was doing pretty well, but I did not push it because I did not want to be having to deal with getting a child to the bathroom in the middle of a line or a ride and did not want him to regress once there. So, I just let him go at his own pace. Well of course on this trip he did it to me again. About two weeks before he was doing pretty well with the potty and I did not push it knowing we were going away. Well, this kid is so ready. If we were in the room, each and every time he had to go he would go running to the bathroom rip off his dippy (if he was wearing one) and go. If we were in the parks, each time I went he would come in with me and go. Very few times would he go in his dippy. That is until we got home! He now is choosing not to use the potty at all. :headache: Not sure what is going on here.

I must go and put the DSs to bed. Try and finish up later. If anyone has questions or suggestions please let me know. Lisa

ON one of the crowded (although all of the bus rides from and to POP were crowded but never a long wait) busses to Epcot we sat in back of 3 chatty children about the age of 6. Wow what a bit of peer presure does to DS 5. I had been trying to get him on Soarin, TT, and MS for quite some time. Well one bus ride with these kids did it for him. He rode all but MS, because of meltdowns from DS 2. DS 5 absolutely loved both of them. In fact he was so full of himself for getting the courage up, he even rode Splash and SM at MK! He is now looking forward to Nov. when we return so he can ride these again.

Toy Story Mania-What a great ride! We were at HS for opening 2 of the 3 days and headed right for TSM each day. Man what a mad rush for that ride. It was way cool. I got on the first line for FP and the CM was just handing out FPs so I went down 2 rows and got in line for another FP and once again the CM was just handing them out. I ended up with 3 sets of FP without having to put our tickets in the machines. Boy was I grateful for that. we all enjoyed the ride and my DS 2 could not get enough of it. For those with little ones, the new Playhouse Disney Stage show is wonderful. Both of my sons enjoyed it.

While we enjoyed the atmosphere at POP we did miss the balconies of the deluxe resorts. We ended up on several afternoons, putting the kids in for a nap and we propped the door open and took the chairs outside to sit, watch the rain, and have a few adult beverages. I also have to say that for some reason the guests at POP seemed to be much more friendly than at the Deluxe resorts. Even when we went to the Poly for breakfast, noone spoke to eachother unless they were in the same party, not even on the bus. I do have to say that the bus service from and to POP was astromical. We never waited for more than 5 minutes even at a park closing. Now that can NOT be said for our other stays. Sometimes there would be 2 busses arriving at the same time for the same destination and as they were pulling away a 3rd was pulling in!

We really did enjoy POP and will be back eventually. DH is talking about Dec for a MVMCP, but who knows with airfare these days.:confused3 I guess only time will tell. For all you fridge swappers at POP in the Baby Its Cold in Here Swap, I do hope you all enjoy the fridge as much as we did. It froze our water bottles each night for the next days adventures and kept our leftovers, milk, and breakfast items nice and cold.
