Trip of Extremes and Dreams! Tons of Pics! 11/30 -12/10 Update Highlight to the End

Great updates! I love the Animal Kingdom...next to MK it's my favorite park. :goodvibes

Great updates!:goodvibes I love AK. Actually I love ALL of Disney.:rotfl:

My oldest DD is also the adventerous eater in our family and takes great enjoyment in grossing the rest of us out.:lmao:

Whenever I'm writing this report I say "We love ..." and realize I say it about all the parks and all of Disney!! It's impossible not to love it!

I'm still grossed out about that mussel!! I don't know how she did it!

Love your trip report ! At looking at your pics i notice in some of the pics you can see your lanyard with all your pins may i ask were you got the two on the bottom that look almost the same {yomd}? thanks

DD and I both won the lanyard and two Year of A Million Dreams pins last year at MGM. I, unfortunately, lost one of my special pins on Test Track this year.

Heidi, I can't believe you got DD to eat mussels!!! Or I should say a mussel! You must have bribed her well! ::yes:: I love the series of photos documenting it!
Do you know there is a tiger up at the Baltimore Zoo that does the same thing as the tiger did that your cousin experienced?! At least there used to be. DD had a field trip up there as a 2nd grader and this crazy tiger seemed to pick his victim and he aimed very well! It smelled so BAD!!! :scared: Thankfully we avoided his gift!
Are the voodoo key chains the same ones that Jay's boys were collecting? (I think it was Jay's guys) Seems like they had something like these.
I wanted to ask you, how do you keep someone from riding off with Mater when you are on a ride or dining somewhere?

No, I didn't bribe her! I think she did it just to prove she could and to disgust me!!! :rotfl2:

Ewww, tiger pee!!! Sooo gross!!

I do think Jay's boys were collecting the voodoo dolls. I fell in love with them!

Mater has a key, so no one can take him. They can, however, play on him which totally ticks me off. We've come out of places and the speed is changed or the seat is moved. It's so rude. CM's move the ECV's all the time, which makes for interesting hunting!!!

Great updates! I love the Animal Kingdom...next to MK it's my favorite park. :goodvibes

It is so great -- all the parks have a different vibe, I believe and AK is so much fun on a different level from MK or the others.

You saw lots of animals on the trek, we had an experience with a tiger at a zoo here, we moved out of the way very quickly though because it stinks :rotfl:

I love Pizzafari too but always get the chicken ceaser salad not pizza :rotfl2:

Well done for going on Dinosaur, I've never done it as the girls don't want too, phew :lmao:

As you guys were leaving AK that night, we were coming in for EMH! :( I'm still sad we only met ONE TIME. and we were at the same darn hotel!

Enjoying the trip report so far. I've subscribed by the way.

Looks like when you went it wasn't very crowded, except for the Lion King Show. We can't go at that time b/c my wife works for the school system. We are going in June though.

Too bad that man blew a fuse. I've never used the FastPass but know about it :)

Great TR, I have been following along. Your pictures are awesome. I also have a love for the Meerkats, I can sit and watch the cute little guys for hours. Can't wait for more.

HA you fell in love with the voodoo key chains too! I am laughing up a storm...weren't they cute though? Did you find a Capt. Jack one too?

Let me admit, when we were in Vegas a few years back, I went to a small zoo right outside of Vegas (it was part of an old west town) and they had a mountain lion. As I posed my neice and Aladdin next to the cage, the mountain lion sprayed on both of them! We had to buy both of them a new pair of shoes before we went back to the hotel that night.:lmao:

Goofy would have eaten an entire plate filled with mussels and asked for more. I however wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole so I am very impressed with dd! Or scared of her...???

Just how far are you two from WDW?

KEEP UP THE GREAT TRIP REPORTING!

PS Loved the shirt you wore...but it would have been better if you had worn the 'other' one. :rotfl2:

A big and welcome hello to all of our new readers and friends! :grouphug: I haven't had time to comment in a while, but now I am back on board! Yes, our dinner at Le Cellier was very disappointing and we don't plan on returning for a few years (.....the first night of our next trip we are going to Yachtsman Steakhouse ::yes:: :rolleyes1 ).

We had a great time in the Tin Toy Museum in Japan. Just look how cute these little guys are!

We saw quite a few Holiday's Around the World Santa's, but the Norwegian one and his sidekick were the best! :rotfl:

Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite parks (which one isn't  ), I think it is the most beautiful of all, so detailed and in a way, I feel like I should be wearing Mickey or Minnie's safari outfit when I'm there :rotfl: Pizzafari surprised me; I really enjoyed the pizza!

My resort-night was nice :goodvibes At Scat Cats the musician performed "Under the Sea" with a jazz flare that was really fun! I sat in the lobby and watched, there were families coming and going to the parks, kids dancing, people eating, I loved all the activity!

I loved the pictures of Animal Kingdom. I'm thinking I might like it better than DHS..b/c i'm such an animal lover. And the trails look awesome!!

Wow, tigers really enjoy peeing on all of us!!! Jay had a story, too!! :rotfl2:

I was surprised at how good the pizza was, because DD and I are total pizza snobs, so for us to like it, it had to be yummy!!

That Dinosaur ride is sooo scary. You really get into the story and lose reality and everything feels so real!! :faint:

Enjoying the report!

Welcome, Maxie! Thanks for reading and posting!

We're sad about that, too!! I can't figure out how you don't run into the people you want to, but the rude obnoxious guy you see on your first day -- you see him constantly!! :crazy2:

Hi Disneyfan71!! Thanks for subscribing and posting!! :flower3: It wasn't too crowded at the beginning of our trip, but within a few days ...... wow, it was crazy. We went last year and the crowds were very low, but this year, it was almost as bad as summer. It's hard to navigate in an ECV with that many people. The trade off is the decorations and special events, though. Almost worth it, but I think DD and I are going to try a different time of year next time we go.

Great TR, I have been following along. Your pictures are awesome. I also have a love for the Meerkats, I can sit and watch the cute little guys for hours. Can't wait for more.

Welcome KittyKat!! Thanks for posting! Aren't those meerkats the cutest things?? I just adore them although I had to stop watching "Meerkat Manor" on Animal Planet because they were constantly finding themselves in danger and it was just too stressful for me after Flower died! I couldn't take it and then I heard Rocketdog died and that was it!! But at AK when I saw them sunning their bellies ... awww, too cute!

Nope, didn't see the Captain Jack voodoo guy! They are soooo cute and sorta different from most Disney souvenirs.

Tigers are rude!!! :rotfl2: After all these stories, I'm glad they are behind glass at AK!!!

I would NEVER try those mussels!! Whenever I'm in an Italian restaurant and someone gets a big plate of them, I almost have to move to another table! ICKY!

We are in Fort Lauderdale, so about 3.5 hours. Not close enough to go at the drop of a hat, although we've done that before!! :rotfl: But since planning is so much fun, not often!

SHHHH, about the "OTHER" shirt!!

I loved the pictures of Animal Kingdom. I'm thinking I might like it better than DHS..b/c i'm such an animal lover. And the trails look awesome!!

Those trails are so incredible! I just LOVE them. You really get up close and personal and see their personalities if you take your time. I think I could spend all day between the two trails and be completely happy!

Have you ever been in June? That's when we're going. Actually it will be mid June to late June. I've never been then and a little concerned about the crowds.

We have been and the crowds are completely crazy. Just make good use of Fast Pass and realize before going that you will wait in line for everything. The really cool thing about going in the summer is the light storms that seem to happen everyday. Let yourself get a little wet -- it cools you down and some people are goofy enough to leave the park, so it opens up a bit as far as crowds go. Get good seats for the parades if you want to see them. But summer is a great time to go!! You'll have a wonderful time!! And I hope you'll write a TR!!! :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

:lmao: :rotfl: Remind me never to root for a team that is not yours. :lmao: :rotfl:

IF you might be up for a short ride (a bit over 3 hours) this let's say...ummm...MARCH than....

HERE WE GO, STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!!!!

I'm still in tears!!! I LOVE MY BLACK AND GOLD!!!

I've been in August and you're right. If it rains (no biggie) they only last like an hour but it sends the guests away. What I noticed at Epcot was after say 4:00 or 5:00 at Future World the crowds were VERY light. Of course that was fourteen years ago :)

Hey Heidi!!! Everyone at our house was in fits last night, cheering, yelling.... yes we are glad the Steelers won too!! :cheer2:
