Day 2
December 1
MAGIC KINGDOM
DD and I got up and decided to walk around the resort before breakfast. Today was a Magic Kingdom day and we were excited!
For breakfast, DD had her bread pudding from Earl of Sandwich. She loved it!
I had my cupcake from the same place, but it was way too sweet for me! I had a breakfast sandwich, which was very good.
One of the thing I love best about POFQ (and all Disney resorts) is how everything stays true to theme.
Even the soda machine!!
Soon the bus was here!
Now, to explain what happened next, you have to understand some things about DD and me. Due to my chemobrain and short term memory loss, I don't remember what we are doing any day, no matter how much we've talked about it. DD loves this, being able to surprise me every morning. I trust her totally and just get up when she says and go where she tells me to. So imagine my shock and surprise when we ended up at MK at 8:05 -- a FULL HOUR until it would open!!
Cute as she may be, she totally betrayed my tiny trust!!
We watched all the people with early morning ADR's enter the park and finally they opened the turnstiles. We went and rented Mater, my
ECV. For anyone who hasn't read the last TR or the PTR, I need an ECV due to my body's reaction to chemo. It gave me degerative bone disease in my back, which makes it impossible for me to walk or stand for any length of time. It messed with my heart, too, shutting down a valve. It saved my life, but screwed up my heart a bit. No one has ever been mean or made rude comments about the ECV, which always has me worried before I leave, but they never have.
The good thing was that we got to see the opening ceremony, which we love!
The train, the singers, the characters, the pixie dust. It is so exciting!
And then we saw the castle and you know all your dreams are coming true!!
