****TRIP REPORT STARTS ON PAGE 44****
Welcome to my pre-trip report! My DD and I are Disney addicts and love everything that goes with the trip from the dreaming to the planning to the going!
I invite you to read My Trip Report! Travels With Dory: http://www.disboards.com/showthread....1#post22181921
which explains my affection for Dory, what we have in common (short term memory loss!) and the adventure of traveling with Chemobrain!
First Ill introduce the Cast:
This was taken last December of DD and I at Liberty Tree Tavern with Minnie!
DD is almost 21, and the most wonderful person I know. She is loving and fun and generous and caring. She is also incredibly goofy, a history loving geek and the most fun person. We are best friends and we have a blast together. We spend much of our time together laughing. She has been my rock through some very rough times and still keeps a smile on her face and on mine. And she loves Disney. No, she doesn't love Disney -- SHE LOVES Disney! Her favorite characters are Stitch, Belle, the Fab Five, Alice and Marry Poppins. I've been taking her to Disney since she was three and her love for it has only grown. She is a writer, with a magnificent sense of imagination and is working on a book right now that I believe will be a best seller. It is just too good! She has had a book of poetry published as a teen-ager but now is channeling her inner-Stephen King and writes things that keep me up at night, afraid of what is in the closet or under the bed! As you can tell, I adore her.
I took this picture back in Pittsburgh, where she was born, her love affair beginning.
As for me, I am The Mommy, and even though she is almost 21, I still get to be the Mommy! I am 44 years old, happily divorced, and not working at the moment, although I surely hope to be soon. I've been in a battle with breast cancer and in fact, am waiting on results right now, to find out if it is back or not.
However, cancer can not take away anything from me -- not the love of my friends and family and not my dreaming! It certainly can't take away Disney! My favorite characters are Belle, because she is so strong, Stitch because he loves me (check out kisses in the Trip Report hahahah), and I LOVE Remy, we are both fabulous cooks!
Our trip to Disney was booked the day after we returned in December! We had the most wonderful time and we just had to do it again. We've decided to make it a yearly trip!
We are going from November 30 until December 10. WOW! That is a long trip! We can't wait. When we started planning, it was the first until the tenth, but DD (who is paying for this entire trip as a gift to me!) added on the 30th due to my need to have an ECV and the worry one might not be available on the first if we aren't there first thing in the morning.
We also have a darling little dog named Diva, who will not be coming on this trip!
However, as a Disney fan, she wouldn't want to be left out. Here she is sleeping with her pal Remy:
I wanted to share a few more photos of DD over the years. When I get my scanner up and working (I took digital pictures of these pictures!) I'll share pictures of me as a kid the year Disney opened!
Before Disney but notice what she's reading!
This was taken on It's A Small World. I love the look of absolute wonder on her face.
A birthday at Tony's Town Square Breakfast.
Be back soon with our itinerary!!
