Trip Oct 14-18th?

Seems my kids have some days off this year...WOOO-HOOO..

we are debating making a road trip to DL. We are about 7hrs away.

Not sure if there is anything major going on Weds 10-14 thru Sun 10-18.

We have done DL several times in late Sept, so we are aware of the Halloween decorations, but I usually have a trip planned out a year in advance....


Anything you all know about that would make this time frame too gnarly.

You might want to know that there will be some Utah school districts with that weekend as their Fall Break. Ours is the Thurs. and Fri. of that week and a lot of people from Utah head to Anaheim when they have a long weekend. So, I would expect some crowds from Utah to be there.

It is also possible that some Arizona schools will have a Fall Break around that time and people from there head to DLR during that time also.

Prepare for crowds and expect them and if it's crowded you are prepared, if it isn't very crowded, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We live in Scottsdale, AZ & my kiddos have that week off (oct.12th-17th).

October is usually not that crowded, specially during the weekdays. It should be ok.

We'll be there . If you end up going good luck with your drive!!!

I have about 6 hours to drive too!!!

Chandler, AZ has that week off (as well as the week before). We'll be there 12 - 18.

My DD and I are going Oct. 14-18 also. I got a good deal on airfare ($60 RT) so we are flying.

Most Arizona schools have that week off for fall break. I think the weekend of Oct 10-12 will be the busiest, because the 12th is Columbus Day. That's why we chose the end of the week. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's not totally crazy!
