Trip Number 9 ~ It's the Most Wonderful Time of Year ~ Christmastime at the GF & Poly

Happy Birthday Shelly! Hope your day is wonderful!

Thanks Lauren.

You're ALL welcome.

:thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

:lmao:

Happy Birthday Shelly!!!!!!

Aside from shopping, are you doing anything special?

I'm not sure what the evening will bring. We went to dinner Saturday night and DH got me an Ipad. Maybe we'll go to dinner again tonight. Anything to get out of cooking!! :thumbsup2:rotfl:

Is it just me, or is he a little LESS creepy somehow in a pack?? :confused3

Watching this is almost mesmerizing... like they're going an Irish jig. :rotfl2:

Um, yeah it's just you. He is still WAY creepy. Doesn't matter if he's alone or with friends!! :scared1:

 It is a lot of anticipation waiting for the big drop!

If it weren't for those water cannons it wouldn't be so bad!

Yeah the water canons are evil. In disneyland if your boat is on the heavier side everyone in tit will get soaked on the big drop and I mean soaked. The first time I went on splash mountain in Disneyland in 2008 I GOT COMPLETELY SOAKED on the drop. As we turned a corner just after going down the hill a huge wave/ wall of water went over the boat. My second time in 2009 I was actually dry on it.

Happy Birthday Shelly!!

Thanks Monica! :goodvibes

Well that is interesting!! Guess I better have some ponchos handy when we go to DL next year!

Happy Birthday Shelly!

I'm a little late to the party but I refuse to attend a party with Disco Dale. :snooty:

/
Man I'd cut a rug so hard around that groovy psychopath Dale that he'd be left standing under the disco lights wondering who that lady was that left a trail of smoke around his puniverse head on the dance floor.

Then I'd go hang out with Clarence at the pool.

I walk on the wild side.
I laugh in the face of danger. Bwaaahahahahahahahahahaha!

:smokin:

Yeah Disneyland's splash mountain can be really weird at times. I remember one time a former cast member was telling a story about how 3 kids were in log that was leaking and when it came into the station they were shoulder deep in water.

Yikes! :scared1:

After our final journey through MK on this trip we headed over to the monorail and hopped on and went back to the Poly.

The day was a little chilly. Too chilly for me to swim. But the kids thought that since DS's rash didn't look horrible today and since the pool wasn't crowded at all that they wanted to take a swim! But not before heading to the room for a little break first!

And believe me, DS had not forgotten about the Lego set he was promised! :rotfl:

While he played with that a little and DS14 and DH watched some TV, I spent a little time on the balcony.

And pretty soon the kids decided it was time to head to the pool!

DH and I found a nice table and relaxed a bit.

Continued in next post....

Pretty soon I got up and took a walk all the way around the pool area.

I walked back behind the pool bar and along side the marina. :cloud9:

And I eventually made a complete circle and ended up where I had started. The kids swam a while longer. When they were done we wrapped them up in towels and ran up to the room!! The water was warm, but the air was a bit chilly. Especially when they were wet! :faint:

When we got back to the room the kids got changed and they were both starving!! Guess all that swimming made them hungry! So DS14 and I ran over to Captain Cook's and got them some dinner. DH & I weren't hungry quite yet.

The kids enjoyed their dinner on the balcony!

Up Next: What would we do the rest of the evening?

Love looking at all the Poly pics! :cloud9:

Just caught up. My advice when you got DL next year is to skip Splash Mountain. It isn't nearly as good as DW and you get SOAKED! The water just barrels over the sides of the boats...no fun at all!

Isn't it beautiful?! :yay::cloud9:

Glad you are all caught up! :goodvibes

Okay, it's settled. No Splash Mtn in DL for us!! We won't be there for that many days and I sure don't want to spend part of one of those days walking around soaked. :scared1:

Love the pool area at the Poly, wish it was a little bigger though, but I suppose I can't complain as the view more than compensates :)

Wonder where you headed next, my guess would be DTD

We have never gotten wet on SM at DL. I guess we were just lucky. Now at DW that's a different story. Now over at DCA I always get soaked on Grizzly River run.

I love it too and I agree - it could be bigger. I think that will eventually become a real problem if/when they add DVC there.

Great guess!! :thumbsup2

That's good that you didn't get wet!! :) I think we may stay away from both of them since it will likely be around February when we are there.

Pretty Poly Pics!!!:cloud9:

I can't believe they swam that day!:faint: I was freezing most of the day- we were at AK. I couldn't imagine being out of the water, wet, at all!:scared1:

Your view was really really pretty from your room. I liked the tree right next to you-- sort of gave you some privacy and enclosed the balcony. :wizard:

And in your pics from your walk I can see my old room in Fiji!pixiedust:

Cute pics of your youngest with his "won" Legos. :lmao: He looks too proud.:rotfl2:
