Trip Number 9 ~ It's the Most Wonderful Time of Year ~ Christmastime at the GF & Poly

Got my flights for the next trip today!!!

AirTran released their rates today. I was going to wait on SouthWest to release theirs tomorrow, but I didn't figure I could do any better than AT's $94 down and $99 back, so I grabbed it!!

So total round trip for 4 of us = $771!! Not bad!

Yay!! That is a great deal Shelly. I'm so jealous because we're not going to Disney at all this year. Did I read correctly and you're staying at the Yacht Club, or did I just dream it? lol

Yep, it's the YC for us this time. We were booked at the BWI and that's where I really wanted to stay, but there was a travel agency with an exclusive special and the only choices were YC, BC, or GF. So we went with the YC since it's the only one we haven't stayed at and we saved about $900!

Yep, it's the YC for us this time. We were booked at the BWI and that's where I really wanted to stay, but there was a travel agency with an exclusive special and the only choices were YC, BC, or GF. So we went with the YC since it's the only one we haven't stayed at and we saved about $900!

I will get a Disney ticker again sometime soon, but until then I will live vicariously through my friends here on the Dis!

That is true! I keep asking my DH & kids if they are sure they don't want to go somewhere different, but they keep saying no!! We are doing something a little different this time though and staying the first few nights at Clearwater Beach!

You're the second person I see tonight that got those super incredible airplane fares from AirTran. I'M SO JEALOUS!!! I was so happy that for January it only cost us 1100$ for three people. With four it would have been double what you got! No wonder you guys go to Disney every year and I have to wait a few years between each trip...

Oh and congrats on catching such a great deal for airfare! I've been stalking rates through Airtran and Southwest for June but DH still won't budge. He said we could fly if I was willing to shorten the trip and spend less to make up the difference. Looks like this girl is driving to Florida yet AGAIN!

Congrats on the airfare deal! Sounds pretty good especially since flying has gotten so expensive! I remember when we flew for $49 back in '09. I don't see that ever happening again. I wish prices would go back down though because I actually think I'd like to fly next time. I'm just getting a little tired of that all day drive there and back. As much as I hate flying, you just can't beat getting there in an hour. You really hit the jackpot this year though between your airfare and your YC deal plus discounted tickets! I bet this is going to be one of your least expensive deluxe stays yet!

Great deal on the airfare! This was the first time in a few years that we snatched $79 flights for our trip a few weeks ago BUT - we quickly screwed ourselves because we extended our stay while we were there and had to pay the change fees.

Oh well, it's just money. I'll make more tomorrow

So jealous of your airfare, Shelly!!! We usually pay between $300 and $350 per person each trip. But, we paid way more than that over Christmas. At least we didn't pay as much for this trip coming up.

It's ridiculous!

I was up at the butt crack of dawn to stalk Southwest this morning. After much frustration, they finally posted and it's $258 one way pp. I'm used to paying $87 on Airtran pp one way. SW has taken over the route for that little airport (2 hours from us) and jacked the prices up.

I refuse to pay $2000 for airfare for 4 people. Even IF the dang bags are included. Ain't like there's gold in them and they need to be handled with extra loving care. Good grief.

If the prices don't come down, we're not going.

I know, that's what I said to DH when I opened it -- I think I had this same exact curling iron in the 80's!!

Holy crap! $258 one way! And I thought that the rates that I was looking at were bad. I won't even mention what it would cost to fly out of our itty bitty airport.

Is it possible for ya'll to drive to Disney? Our trips are between 14 and 16 hours depending on pee-pee stops, resting the legs stops, etc.

Yeah, I am getting good deals all around this time!! But, we are adding a few days on at the beach before Disney and that little side trip is proving to be quite costly. Looks like I'll be spending everything I saved and then some.
