Trip Number 9 ~ It's the Most Wonderful Time of Year ~ Christmastime at the GF & Poly

Well that looks like fun! I had no idea they had added that activity at FW (I guess because of Brave??). I also had no idea they did that sort of thing in gym class these days??? :confused3 My DH and DD would enjoy doing that. DH has a bow and DD always wants to shoot it, but she isn't strong enough to pull the string back! I'm glad your DS was so excited about it and had a good time. It seemed very reasonably priced too as compared to some of the other 'extras' at Disney. The Wonderland Tea Party was $25 when it first came out (which was a fabulous deal), but it quickly went up to about double that in price. I bet the same thing will happen with this. So I guess if we want to do it, we should do it soon!

Yay!!!

He looked soooooo happy! And grown up! :faint:
Holy cow-- he looks so old. :(
What a great experience. Did they say they liked the are over there? I've always wanted to go over and look around.

Archery looks like a great sport for him. He seems pretty accurate too!

So glad you did it for him. ::yes::

Now----
Happy Mothers Day to everyone!! Hope you have a great day!

Happy Mother's Day!

When I saw someone mention Archery I kinda thought that was it. I read they had that in someone's TR . Very nice activity for DH and DS14 to do together and he looked so happy :) My DH and youngest DS did the horse back riding once at Fort Wilderness.

Looks pretty cool!!!! And it seems like he did a pretty good job!!

He loved every minute of it!! :)

I was right! Do I get a prize? Lol :)

I think I knew it b/c I heard about it before and I think I heard about someone I know doing archery in gym class.

I've actually thought about having DS do that too.

Yes you were!!! :flower3:

You should definitely do it for your DS if he likes that kind of thing!!:thumbsup2

AAAHHH! Now it makes sense! What a fun activity!

It was a good time! :cool1:

They had a lot of fun! :yay: I'm not sure if it was there before Brave or not. I kind of think it was, but I'm not sure...

Some of those bigger bows are hard to pull back. You'd probably have to get her a smaller one to start off with!

I remember doing archery in gym class in HS. My kids haven't done it yet in gym.

Yeah, the price wasn't too bad considering it was Disney! :)

I know!! :scared1: He's got a little mustache coming in! :faint: Growing up WAY too fast! :worried:

They did seem to like it over there. They were kind of rushed thought and didn't get to look around a whole lot. DS11 & I were going to go with them and just walk around and check out the place, but we decided to spend our time at the Poly instead. :cloud9:

Happy Mother's Day! :goodvibes Spent my day freezing my behind off at a soccer game! :faint:

Happy Mother's Day!!! :)

Thanks, same to you!! :)

DS was very happy that day!! ::yes::

I saw that they had horseback riding over there too. I bet your DH and DS enjoyed that. I think there are a lot of activities at FW that most people don't even have any idea about!

Your afternoon at the pool looks wonderful! What a great set up they have there. What a perfect place to relax!

Archery seems fun! I'm glad your son had so much fun. You're a pretty cool mom Shelly! :thumbsup2 Did you have a good Mother's Day?

It was a great afternoon! Of course any afternoon at the Poly is wonderful. :cloud9:

Yes, the archery was a hit!! :thumbsup2 Which is good, you know how hard it is to please a 14 year old! :faint: :rotfl:

Well I spent Mother's Day at DS11's soccer game. It was 45 and rained, snowed, and hailed. :scared1: And they lost. Bad!! So it wasn't the best day by any means. But Friday night DH & the boys sent me for a pedicure and they cleaned the house while I was gone!! :goodvibes I hope you had a great Mother's day weekend! :)

Didn't I guess archery? Surely it was among my many guesses! ;)

It looks like they had a fun afternoon! The only times I have been to FW was the 2 times we went to the Hoop-De-Doo Revue. And we went straight there and didn't see any more of FW.

I'm glad you had a nice Mother's Day! But holy cow, rain, snow, and hail??? You are a real trooper for sitting outside and watching a soccer game in those conditions! :thumbsup2

Nope, I think archery is the only thing you didn't guess!!

They had a great time. Maybe someday we will head back over there and check out FW some more!

Yes, sometimes when I am sitting out in that garbage watching DS's soccer game (and other mom's are in their cars back in the parking lot ) I think what an awesome mom I am!! :rotfl: No really, I wouldn't miss a second of it for anything, love it!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Jodi!

Thank you both!!! :goodvibes DH and I took the day off today and we went into the city for lunch!

I'm too lazy to look back at when I last commented.

Archery sounds really fun - there's a lot to do over at FW isn't there? We have to go check it out on our next trip. Whenever that is!

Happy Anniversary! How many years? Hope you had a nice lunch date! Ours was on Friday (16 years) and we went to dinner while the girls were at dance class. Worked out perfect!

I finally read & commented on your last post and then I see that you just added another one!! :upsidedow

There seems to be lots to do over at FW! You should definitely check it out sometime. :thumbsup2 So, any idea when the next trip is??

15 years for us today! Time sure flies, doesn't it? Happy Anniversary to you too! :goodvibes

Thanks! Time does fly by -especially when you're busy with kids!

Guess I really didn't have to go back too far. Oh well.

Yeah, we don't know when we'll be back in WDW. I had hoped to be going to Disneyland in October. We were invited to a wedding out there and it's the weekend the kids are off school for teacher meetings. But airfare is so expensive and we will have just done the Alaska cruise in August. Might be too much!
So we're considering possibly what to do for spring break next year in March. I really think WDW is too busy, but we may do a short Disney cruise and hit Vero beach or go see DH's sister in Ft. Myers. Who knows?
I wish we could go to WDW during the holidays too.
Wouldn't it be nice to go about 3 or 4 times a year???

Yes, 3-4 times a year would be perfect!! ::yes:: :goodvibes Is that too much to ask?? :confused3:rotfl:

We are hoping to go to Disneyland in February, over the kids winter break. :wizard: I've always wanted to go out there and see where it all began! Plus it will help me learn more for my TA business! :thumbsup2

Yeah, I think WDW is pretty busy in March. :sad2: I think a cruise and Vero Beach sounds like a good plan! :thumbsup2 Or Ft. Myers ~ anywhere warm!! :)

We've done March at WDW and it was really busy! Of course, Ft. Myers is crazy too - spring training and spring break too.
The cruises and the DVC points for Vero are high that time of year too. We shall see... definitely somewhere warm!!
