Your poor DH did not look happy whatsoever! I may have to try and remember that Lego bribe idea for my DS in June. I told DH we're going in the Tiki Room this trip and he just rolled his eyes at me. I dragged him to it for our honeymoon in 2001 and we haven't been back since. I appreciate the nostalgia of it. It was cutting edge technology way back when Walt designed it!

Hi Shelly. I am so sorry to have been MIA for so long now! I have been crazy busy. But I am so looking forward to catching up with your TR!

I have had a nightmare of a day, and went on the DIS to distract me a little from today's events. I was at the Boston Marathon today. I was in the city, waiting for my good friend to cross the finish line when the explosions happened. My friend was less than a half mile from the finish when the bombs went off, and was unable to finish. Cell service in the city was shut off, and it took me a while to get in contact with my friend and her husband. My girls were with me, and they are still terrified. Words cannot describe the horror. Anyways, I wanted to check in. This is not how I wanted to return to the DIS, but I just need to vent! What a scary day.

So glad you and your family and friends weren't hurt. How scary- especially for your girls. It's so difficult to explain something so senseless to children when it doesn't even make sense to us adults.

The story abut your DS11 on splash wondering when the big drop reminds me of my first time on it in 2006 I was doing the same and I was 26 at the time. The last time I rode Splash I gotabsoltly soaked going up the second lift hill from the water cannons they had beside the big drop, I actually didn't get much more wet on the big drop, I may have been so wet already that I didn't notice it.

Shelly I rode Splash once many many years ago and never again, but it was my DS Jason's favorite ride. I am a fan of the Tiki Birds it just puts me in a WDW type of silly mood

I like Splash, just don't LOVE it! You are right -- the Tiki birds are a silly WDW thing!
