And I totally agree about the flash photography thing. We had a really terrible experience with someone recording during Philharmagic and it totally ruined the whole show. Luckiy for us, we have seen it 1000 times - but I always think about the people who look at Disney as a "once in a lifetime" trip. I wonder how many rides were ruined for them by other people just being inconsiderate.

I am really missing Disney this week, so I am looking forward to another update!!

IDK why people can't turn their dang flash off if they want to take ride pics!! It's not that hard. And it's the rule!!

Patiently awaiting the next update

JB opened up their fares from 10/27 to 01/06 Yesterday, can we say outrageously High! I bought our flights down $134 higher than what we usually pay but I can live with that price but waiting on our return flights as they were $249 & $278, fingers crossed they come down and don't go up.

We took the monorail from Epcot back to the TTC and walked over to the Poly. We were all ready for a rest, so we went straight up to the room.

I don't really remember what we did from there. Nothing I guess! Probably checked in on here and checked emails and things! It was way too chilly for swimming, so I know we didn't do that!

Eventually we got hungry and we ventured over to Captain Cook's for a late dinner.

Love the touch screen ordering in there!

We ordered, paid, and got our beeper.

We sent the kids over to grab a table. There weren't too many open.

DH got the Aloha Pork sandwich with Asian Slaw, something very different than what he would normally order! I got the cheese flatbread pizza. DS13 got the kids hamburger, fries, and a cookie. And DS11 got the kids chicken nuggets, fries, and jello.

Everything was very good!

From there we did a little Poly shopping and touring!

Then we swung back around and into Captain Cook's again for some snacks to share!

After that it was back to the room and off to bed for some sweet Disney dreams!

Can't believe empty the shops looked!! That's nice! When I go in there they are always packed. I did see a dress I want in the pics you posted---- that white one hanging up on the wall? LOVE.

Love that tree!!!! The orchids on it are beautiful. Love that touch of Hawaiian "Mele Kalikimaka"!!!!!!!

He said it was good. Not sure if he would get it again though. He didn't think it was great!

There were so many pretty dresses and clothes in there. So dang high priced though!! I almost got one of the dresses (don't even remember which one now), but figured I'd only wear it there, so it probably wasn't worth it.


Nope, no Dole Whip that evening. I had to keep switching between the Dole Whip and the chocolate chip croissant!

As usual, I was behind but am caught up again. I'm sorry that the freakin' out girl ruined your only ride on Soarin'. I've gotta admit that I'm one that gets a little freaked out by Soarin' since I'm afraid of heights but there's nothing that I'd scream my head off about. Good gosh! That did remind me of the time that the two teenage boys were on Tower of Terror with us and they were trying to be all cool and not scared but when we hit that first drop they were wrapped around each other and holding onto John for dear life.

Ooh, dinner and shopping at the Polynesian! That's a great way to end the day!

Your food looks really good! Especially your cheese flatbread. Mmmm! I was surprised to see what your DH ordered, too! It looks OK, but I probably wouldn't like the pork. The salad sort of sounds like a salad I make and love, made with cabbage and Ramen noodles. Sounds awful, and I hate cooked cabbage, but it's really good!

The gift shop sure does look empty! I mean empty of people, not merchandise. The merchandise looks fun - the clothing looks so cute! I can't believe you didn't buy anything to wear! I love WDW gift shops. I could spend hours shopping. But that won't happen as long as I keep my current DH.

I just love the Poly gift shops. I must have gone in them at least 6 times!!

The desserts were fabulous!! That brownie has chocolate icing on it. A little much for me, but the kids love it! I found those chocolate chip croissants a few trips back and can't get enough of them!! I know they have them at the BWI and the BC too, I am hoping to be able to get them somewhere at the YC without having to walk over to the BC to get them!

I guess I can understand a fear of Soarin (I think the "feeling" of flying is what makes most people love it so much) but you'd think she would have gotten the gist of it in all the descriptions?

The flash thing drives me crazy too. My biggest issue with it is that how many of those pictures are they actually going to care about in 2 weeks from now? Photos of people in that dim of light look funky whether you use the flash or not, and everything else isn't exactly something most people go back and stare at in the future reminiscing. I can definitely understand wanting to take some photos or videos on rides, but Disney states no flash frequently (and I don't buy the "No habla ingles" line for a minute) and it's not a big deal to get what you want without.

UGH!! People using light and flash on the rides irritates me so bad!!! Remember my Dinosaur experience??

One time I saw someone take a flash photo just as the boat left the loading area of Pirates of the caribbean. The flash lit up the control booth and the next thing you heard was announcement about no flash pictures. Everyone around me had a laugh about it because of how dumb the guest was that just did that.
