Trip Number 9 ~ It's the Most Wonderful Time of Year ~ Christmastime at the GF & Poly

We spotted Pluto with a very short line, so the boys jumped in!

We made our way to America, where these guys were out.

There was a cute little Christmas village set up.

We decided that we would like to go over to the Epcot resorts and see their Christmas decorations before lunch and figured that we had just enough time if we hurried. But of course we had to stop in Japan, the boys just love this area!

We did a quick walk through at France and then headed out the back exit of Epcot and over to the Boardwalk.

Love the pictures of your boys with Pluto !

A trip visit to Epcot would not be complete without a stop at the Karamell Kuche! I love it in there :)

Le Cellier lunch sounds great, can't wait to see what you all had.

I am definately getting a treat at that place in Germany this time!!

Everything looks so yummy!!!!

Cute pics with Pluto!

I know, they have some yummy treats in there!! ::yes::

LeCellier is coming up soon. :thumbsup2

Cute pics with Pluto!

DS loves getting the fresh made caramelcorn! :) I think the chocolate & caramel covered strawberries are excellent, but expensive.

I have been a total sloth the last two days-- it's been so cold and we have all been sitting by the fire doing nothing but watching basketball. (I'm a little tired of it!)

Good night the debacle of Le Cellier ADR times. :faint:
Unbelievable.

The boys were so cute with Pluto! Belle always carries Milk Bone doggie treats in her purse for him.

I still haven't gotten any treats at the Germany store! We tried to get in there this trip but we couldn't even get in the door. I remember you talking about the popcorn.... Yum!!!

I didn't realize you had left the park and gone to the Resorts to look around that day! Can't wait to see them all dressed up! :)

I loved seeing all the Christmas stuff around WS. I really need to get down there after Thanksgiving at least once so I can get the full effect!

Very cute pics with Pluto! He was the first character we ever met so he has a special place in our hearts! :lovestruc

The caramel shop... :love::love::love:

I'm curious to hear about your Le Cellier lunch. We are deabting going there again next time. Is it still just one credit at lunch and two for dinner? Last time we went was in '08! I haven't been in a hurry to go back b/c I didn't think it lived up to all the crazy hype. My food was very good, DH's... not so much, and DD thought it was fine, but nothing mind blowing like so many people say. Maybe we didn't the order the right things, but I've had the pretzel bread, the cheese soup, the steak, the smores... all the things that everyone goes nuts over and I think our local steak house was much better for a 10th of the price! Maybe I'm weird though!:confused3 Can't wait to hear your opinion since it's been 5 years since we've gone there.

Well I'm trying to get a move on with these updates. It seems like I've been writing this TR forever and I still have 3 days to go!! :faint: And I think people are starting to lose interest.

Oh the whole LC ADR thing was ridiculous! So not worth it.

That's a good idea about the milkbones!!! :rotfl:

There actually wasn't hardly anyone in the caramel store this time. It was kind of nice!

Yep, we high-tailed it over to the Epcot resorts to take a quick look before lunch! :thumbsup2

There is so much more in way of decorations after Thanksgiving. We had been there in early November before and thought we had seen a good part of it, but we saw so much more this time! :santa:

Pluto is awesome! :cool1:

Actually LC is 2 TS credits for both lunch and dinner now. :sad2: Same menu all day. It wasn't like that when we went in Dec, so we got to pay the lunch price one last time. I don't think we will be back. It was good, but not super great and is now way too much money for what you get. :(

When I left off we were headed out the back exit and over to the Epcot resorts to check out the Christmas decorations. We had to be back to LC for lunch by 1:30, so I figured we had enough tome to see the BWI, YC, and BC, but not the Swan and Dolphin.

DisneyDecember2012752_zps21273bfd.jpg

We went to the BWI first.

We stopped by the little gift shop that is right off the lobby. The kids liked this vinylmation – it looked like the clown slide! :rotfl:

DisneyDecember2012763_zps697aacfb.jpg

Sadly we didn't have enough time to stop by the big gift shop out on the BW. We love that shop!

Continued in next post....

Next we moved on over to the YC!

I guess they sell treats here in the evenings.....not sure why these little shops weren't open during the day like the GF, the lobbies were plenty busy. :confused3

Lots of really neat Christmas stuff at the Epcot resorts! :santa:

Up Next: Le Cellier Lunch

Your pictures of the Christmas decorations are great, it's reminded me of how much I miss Disney at Christmastime.

A vinylmation of Clarence!!! That clown does not get enough love!:lovestruc You should have bought him. Just cause.:goodvibes

The resorts looked really pretty! I want so badly to remember to go over there and look around. I always forget and we never seem to have enough time.

I especially liked Stitch all wrapped up in lights on top of that little house where they sell the snacks at night.:rotfl:

Y'all must have made super good time bc I think we met up close to noon didn't we? You were able to do so much in such a short amount of time!:thumbsup2

Looking forward to hearing about LC and if anyone ordered the risotto. :cloud9: It's been on my mind so much I'm making it tomorrow night for suppah!!:rotfl2:

Loving the Christmas decorations!! I just love the whole Boardwalk area. :lovestruc There's just something so relaxing, but still in the middle of it all about it over there. We really loved staying at the Beach Club, and the BWV is on our list as well.

You have stayed at all 3 over there, right Shelly? Or is this upcoming trip your first time at the YC? What did you like most and least about all of them? I never really thought too much about staying at the YC, but maybe I'll add it to the list for someday. :goodvibes

I always said I would never stay at the GF, but now with them building VGF, I am considering it!

I know, we totally should have bought him!!! ::yes::  I don't care if everyone else is afraid of Clarence - we love him!!

I can't believe you have never been over there. You have got to do that - this summer!! :thumbsup2

We did make pretty good time. I think it was like 11:30 when we saw you, so we made our way through all of WS and through all those resorts and back to LC in 2 hours! :faint:

Yes, there was risotto ordered!! (not by me though )

We love the BW area too!! :cloud9: So fun and relaxing at the same time!

We've stayed at the BWI and the BC. This summer will be our first time at the YC. We had full balconies and great views at both the BWI and the BC. But our room and balcony at the BC were very dirty. As in sticky dirty. :scared1: And we just didn't love the whole vibe going on at the BC. People everywhere all the time and the SAB pool was crazy. So I am a bit afraid going into the YC knowing it is the same pool. We were originally booked at the BWI on a BB, but I ended up saving $1000 to switch to the YC by going through a TA - actually the agency I work for now. They have some awesome specials!! ::yes::

So anyway - we really liked the BWI and hope to stay there again one day. So much to do and see, yet it is very quiet and relaxing, especially at the pool.

We are hopeful that we will enjoy the YC. :wizard:

I still hate it so bad that y'all had such a bad time at the BC!! Maybe this YC trip will redeem that whole area for you!! I think I personally might like the decor of the YC over the BC~it's a little more Nautical...well, it used to be,,not sure if they have changed it any since the last time I looked at all the pictures of the rooms.
And add me to the haters club~Clarence is evil :rotfl2:

I hope you love it as well! We didn't mind SaB but I think that it was because when we stayed at the BC, we had just gotten off the Fantasy and SaB felt like a football field compared to the pools on the ship :rotfl2: It didn't feel crowded at all to us! Maybe a little loud, but we liked the energy. Had it been more of a "relax by the pool with a book kind of a day" I would have felt MUCH differently. :crazy2:

And I will definitely be coming to you for one of those deals if the day comes we stay at the Poly or the YC!! ;) It's nice having the DVC points, but it's also nice being able to rent them out and stay at other resorts or see somewhere new. I'm not sure if I told you over here or not, (I seriously have the worst memory ever....) but we sold off all of our remaining points after our January trip for a cruise to Alaska this year! We leave on my birthday (46 days!! ) for Vancouver.

I'm excited to see somewhere else, but I will definitely be missing Disney. This will probably be the longest stretch without us going. It will be at LEAST a year and a half between trips. Maybe almost 2.... :scared1:
