I am in the process of finalizing our DL plans, and I am so excited that the new Toy Story ride might be up and running. Isn't this a high volume ride? So maybe, even though the lines are long, I am hoping it won't be like Nemo's opening. My older ds loves Toy Story, and he would be bummed to ride it only one time.

I told my 7 year old dd that there might be a new ride, and the first thing she said was, "Yeah, but mom, what about the lines?" (Did I mention how smart my beautiful dd is? princess: ) Then she asked about Nemo, as we didn't go last year, so we have never been on it. I assured her I would be planning everything, in hopes that we would wait in line as little as possible.

We're not 100% sure on our dates, but I think it's looking like June 21-26. We've always done 5 days in the parks, and this time, it looks like we will have 6 day hoppers. And that one of those day may just be a partial day upon our arrival, or a quick 2 hour park excursion on our way out of the state. Who knows? The previous 2 trips we've made were always 5 days, Monday through Friday. So I am sure it will be a completely different experience with a weekend in there. Hopefully still a good one, though!

Yes, Toy Story Midway Mania should be open by then. Yes, it will probably have long lines because it will be extremely new (we're talking weeks or days even). It will have no FP (most likely, but that has not been confirmed).

All that being said, I don't think you will see the lines as big as Nemo for these reasons:
-It's at DCA. Yes, it's a new ride, but DCA still isn't appealing as much to the locals.
-It will have a higher capacity most certainly compared to Nemo's 1000 people (or less) per hour.
-One reason the subs had a long line was the nolstalgia factor. The subs were "returning"! So everybody wanted to ride. With this ride, I don't think people know about the actual ride as much, other than it's about Toy Story.

Still, I would expect lines to be in the 60-120 minutes throughout the summer. However this would probably be one of the rare times that I would suggest arriving at DCA's gates at its opening.

According to an article in the New York Times a couple of weeks ago, Toy Story Mania should accommodate about 1500 riders an hour. That's at least double the capacity of the Nemo subs, but a lot less than things like Pirates and Haunted Mansion, which are more like 2500/hour or higher. It's closer to the capacity of Soarin', which is reported to be about 1400/hour - and we know what the lines are like for Soarin'. I've read that Toy Story Mania will not have Fastpass. :-(
