Trip Insurance

Hi All,

So we booked our trip a couple of months ago to go to Disney in the beginning of September and at the time did not buy trip insurance. Now I'm thinking that maybe we should get trip insurance. Do most people end up getting the trip insurance? If so, do you end up getting it through Disney? Any information would be great!!!

I got us trip insurance as we have a lot of medical issues and BAD luck!

For me, the peace of mind is worht the $150 I paid.

Yes, I always buy trip insurance. Several years ago, my grandmother died while we were on vacation. It was so nice not to have to worry about money during an emotional time. Last year, our DD got H1N1 the week before we were to fly to WDW. Again, we didn't have to worry about our trip cost when we cancelled.
I do not buy through Disney. You can get it much cheaper online. Just read the policy closely. Also, I think you have to purchase within so many days of your initial deposit if you need the preexisting condition for certain conditions to count. Try insure my trip website. I like CSA and Travel Guard since I've had to collect from these and I had no problem from either one. Good luck!

I purchased it through Airtran when I bought my airfare. It was the $30ish for the two of us. Previously we purchased through TravelGuard, again around $30. It gives me peace of mind. We haven't had to use it, but you never know.

I haven't for my WDW trips but I just booked a cruise (non Disney aldo my first cruise) and I am looking at trip insurance policies incase we should have to cancel. I did discover that most insurances only cover call to military duty if it is related to a natural disaster. I finally found one that will cover if his leave is cancelled still have to purchase though.
