Trip for end of June vs end of July into Aug 2020

So what are your thoughts? I know both are ugh hot and humid but due to school these are my only choices. Any help with crowds, rain etc would be helpful. Thanks!

Aug would be my last choice, very hot and humid. Late June would be my first choice, it can be hot, but the humidity is not at it's peak yet. July is hot, humid and rain every day. The earlier in June you can get is your best chance of a heat/humidity level that may be acceptable.

Thanks Bill! We were there in May and I thought it would have been seasonable but it was pretty much 97 everyday (unusually hot so I was told) lol. I’m shooting for June tho

This year was extremely hot everywhere in the eastern 2/3 of the US. Hopefully it will not be the normal. We did a late June/early July trip last year and it was reasonable. This year it was at least 10 degrees warmer.

We go at the beginning of July for the 4th of July celebrations! We have booked the first part of our trip already. BLT, I sure hope we can still go up to TOTW on the 3rd since we are staying there!

Another vote for June. We've been all three months and June was better than July...July was better than August. Spray bottle fan for a few bucks from Target helped us cope (and cost less than a Mickey one).

We originally bought DVC for summer (lower points cost) trips and ... so far we have used our points for February, April, November, and December...

We have gone in late August (2/4 of our family have birthdays then, and things are cheaper and less crowded) several times, and no question it is HOT. I'm not sure it makes a a huge difference between June/July/August; one "benefit" the later you get in the summer is that you will be in tropical storm season. You can almost count on there being a torrential downpour in every afternoon. After the rain clears, it is usually much cooler. And during the downpour, we just continue our park visit in water shoes and ponchos - the lines really die down. It really just depends on your perspective. As a kid, my parents were teachers so the only times we went were in August. We usually went back to our hotel for a nap during the storm, and came back out for dinner and cooler evening activities after sundown.

June, July, August is rainy season in Florida. So plan on rain anytime you go for those months. Usually an afternoon rain storm.

Just got back from our trip July 28-August 4. We are from NJ and it was hotter at home than it was at Disney. The first two days of August had a high of 84 and 85 while it was in the low 90s in Jersey. It did rain most late afternoons but only one day did it rain for hours.

The difference between NJ and Florida in July and Aug is the humidity. It's usually 100% and not raining in Florida most of the day. NJ won't be nearly that bad.

This year the humidity has been rough in NJ as well. Not as bad as Florida but still not an easy summer as far as humidity. My husband works outside and tracks the percentage on a daily basis.

We just got back from a July 16-23 trip. It was hot, but with cooling towels, fans, a lot(!) of water and breaks, it was very manageable. We had our DDs (3 and 6) as well and they did just fine. We did everything we set out to do in our planning (and more). We did rope drop everyday and took a break after a 11:00ish lunch. We did have a rain shower every afternoon (we were in our rooms for most of these for naps anyway) and it was cooler afterwards.

I think, as with everything else Disney, planning and managing expectations can go long way toward a great trip.

I agree with others - it's going to be hot either way. I don't think you'd notice a material difference in late June vs late July/ early August. You could get unlucky with a heatwave anytime, even in May. Go at the time that's most convenient for you!

We’ve started making early August a regular trip for us. It’s crazy hot, but we’ve changed our touring styles to accommodate the heat. We essentially are lazy all day. We wake up late, read, swim, take advantage of the hotel, and then venture to the parks at 6:00pm. We make fast pass reservations for 6, 7 and 8 pm and then take advantage of low evening crowds for the last one to two hours of park time. It’s fantastic and we always come home we’ll rested. It’s so hot that when it rained we just kept going without any ponchos or anything, we never got cold.
