I booked Trinidad North for May. Has anyone stayed there recently? This is my first time at CBR, so I don't know much about the resort, but it seems to be very popular.

Has the whole resort been refurbished? What is the food like at the foodcourt? Captains Tavern (?), how is the food. I never see it as one of the favorites.

The water mice...cost? I switched from POR because the boat will not be running. Silly reason, but I loved to take that boat to DD.

Anyway, it gave me an excuse to try a different resort.

We just got back from CBR a week ago and the entire resort has been renovated. :) Our room was beautiful. :)

The food court is very nice... we only ate there once (for breakfast) and it was very good.

I've heard mixed reviews about the Captain's Tavern.

Have a great trip!

We stayed at Trinidad North several years ago. We had a bottom floor corner room right by the sidewalk by the 'river'. LOVED IT!! We had a frig and ate our bowls of cereal each morning while the earlybird sailboats drifted by.
Another thing about Trin North is its very close to the food court-main pool. It was a great pool and wonderful shops were inside Port Royale.

I hope you have a nice trip!!

We stayed at Trinidad North this past November. As previously mentioned, the entire resort has been re-done and the rooms are nice. This section is closest to the food court on the pool side, with Martenique being the closest on the other side.

We've had breakfast, lunch and snacks from the food court and everything has been good. Had dinner at the Captain's Tavern several times and thought it was very good.

We started out at the Contemporary the first 4 or 5 times (before all the other resort were built) and have switched to the CBR since except for one shot at the All Star Movies, which was a dissapointment. We're looking forward to being back at the CBR the end of October.

Enjoy your trip.

We were also there in November. It was our 3rd stay (I think) at CBR and our second at Trinidad North. We also were first floor, corner room but not at the water side.
The rooms have been very nicely refurbished and Tr. N. is definitely close to the food court, etc. We stayed in Martinique one year and a lot of people also comment on that one being handy.
We had breakfast every morning in the food court and there was plenty to eat and lots of variety. We didn't eat at the Captain's Table this trip but last time we were there it was fine.
We didn't rent water mice this time either so I can't give you the price. Older DS rented last time but I've forgotten how much it was.
You will really enjoy CBR I think. The landscaping is beautiful. We stopped every morning on the way back to our room to feed the waterfowl on their own little beach. There are two little dispensers (take quarters) where you can get food for them and boy, do they know it!
Enjoy.

Just a clarification, you REQUESTED Trinidad North. Disney notes your requests, but does not gurantee anything. We too have requested Trinidad N, but will be happy with what ever we get. I hope you will be the same.
