Tried to book my 1st trip as a member

But nothing is available for the beginning of december I know that I'm late but just received my member card last week.

I plan to be at Disney from dec 1st to dec 13th and wanted a DVC resort for the first 5 nights and the 4 last ones and no studios are available.

I was put on the waiting list and now hope that they will call me.

Is there a chance from your experience that something comes up ?

Yes I do.
On August 16, I called to book a studio at OKW for the 12/23 - 12/27...nothing was available so I used a discount code to book WL. On 8/19 I called back right at opening and I was told to hold on. After a few moments the CM said the ressie was complete. Great. Now once I get my confirmation in the mail, I will call and cancel WL.

December is very, very popular with DVC members - the entire place - theme parks, resorts, DD are decorated - WDW is having their special Christmas shows (MVMCP, CLP, OLS, etc) - low crowds at the parks, generally great weather (one year it was too cold), and it is a great time to go.

the Dis meeting and some other websites are meeting then. So it is a very popular time.

this is one time of the year when you need to make your reservations at the 11 month time.

So I hope that the wait list comes through - but don't be too disappointed if it doesn't.

We are waitlisted for all WDW DVC resorts for a 2 bedroom for the second week of December. We also have reservations at another onsite resort (non DVC) just in case. It doesn't hurt to wait list, but have another back up plan in case it doesn't come through. My thinking is - if our wait list doesn't come through, we'll have points left over, so we'll have to make another trip "home" sooner then we planned!!

The waitlist came thru !!!

I now have what i first asked for !!

I asked to be waitlisted "day by day" instead of the whole week and I guess this helped to get what I requested.
