I would be super disappointed missing the Festival of Fantasy for the first time. This is one of the top things I'm looking forward to. BUT, I've see that Rainy Day Cavalcade once before, and darnit, it sure is cute. Of course, when I saw it there was almost no people and it wasn't raining hard at all, so the interactions were fantastic.

I think what you photographed was part of the Hub expansion. Just making it bigger. Strange they asked you to stop photographing though.

Yes, Rob, yes I did... At CBR's pool... It's a water thing, I tell ya!

I was very much dissapointed... Like really dissapointed but I know there will be plenty more trips!

Just catching up here...I haven't eaten at Pinocchio's...don't know how I have missed that...LOL!!

Love the pictures of your dad on Mine Train. He looks like he is really enjoying himself.

The Country Bears are one of my favorites too...I don't know if it is because it was something we did every time I was there when I was little or what. When I went to it in 2011 I thought the theatre was really small compaired to what I remembered as a child. HAHAHAHAA.

It sucks that you didn't get to see FOF. I am really hoping I get to see it in October, but that is awesome that you still got to see some of the characters in the Rainy Day Parade.

Congratulations on going part-time. Maybe your boss didn't think there was anything wrong with her demeanor until you finally said something. That probably flipped the switch for her. I am sure you will come up with a great schedule to be able to do everything you want to accomplish. It will also give you more time to plan another trip...hahahahaa!!!

I can't wait to see your sister's reaction to seeing your dad!!!! That should be priceless.

You should try Pinocchio Haus! Very good and very spacious to sit down too!

I hope that I finally flipped the switch bc she was life sucking for sure.

I think some rain is ok and can lead to some cute pictures (which you definitely got some of) but bummer about them cancelling the FoF parade

I think that construction is part of the HUB construction going on for the next year(s) - it is kinda odd that they asked you to stop posting pics considering they are already all over the internet

those buses are freezing! Sucks for when it rains like you guys were dealing with ... warm bath certainly sounds like a good idea

It was a big bummer. I was very much looking forward to the parade but I know ( or so I hope) there will be lots more visits. <3

Aww thank you.... That is so sweet. They do have rather adorable smiles! When their not fighting or crying. HA!

Continued... June 14, 2014

After we were all thawed & dried out, we headed to the lobby before we headed back to the MK. You see- when I first booked this weekend trip, we were only planning on doing Fri-Sun but then quickly decided that we would just add on another night but we booked POP to save some $ and figured this would be a good time to try out a value, while it was just a short trip. However, we fell in love with POR and we didn't want to move to POP the next day. So, talking to the concierge about staying was on my priority list.

Steve took some pics while I talked with the concierge.

We live about an hour away from Greenville, South Carolina so I am guessing that is why he took this picture. I just love the Mickey heads.

Sadly, there would be no pixie dust with us just staying in our room. She came back after being on the phone and said it would be another $250.00 to stay in our room... I still think she was off on the dollar amount somehow but still.... OUCH! Now we loved POR and all but ultimately decided that we would rather spend that $250.00 on something else.

We boarded our bus and soon we heard the glorious music again that plays as you enter the MK. My castle was calling me & it was time for me to answer th call.

My sister and I were texting and she said they were already inside waiting on us. When we made it in, we had a little mini photo shoot.

As you can see, the rain had stopped and we were all very excited about our evening in the kingdom!

In other news, still waiting to hear back for my part-time schedule at work. There have been a couple of kinks we've been trying to work out. We just registered Lawson for his first grade school year....

Been thinking about Disney for early spring but hoping/waiting for a discount.

We have plans to go to the beach for Labor Day weekend at this little resort/campground called Ocean Lakes. It is so fun. It is ALMOST as fun as Disney but not quite! Everyone rides around on golf-carts, there are 3 pools, an arcade, playground, store, restaurant, obviously there is the beach. Our friends are coming with us and they happen to be the friends we are taking with us to Disney in Feb/March. We figured we better have a weekend trip to make sure Disney is doable with them. HAHA.

We had a slight hiccup, as this past Friday, I had to email the guy who's house we are renting about something. Well, wouldn't you know I accidentally booked the wrong weekend?? I thought Labor Day was the first weekend in Sept but let me tell you, it's not. I guess the upside to it is, at least we found out now and not when we went to check in and another family be in the house. EEEK.... Thankfully, I have been a busy bee this week and just booked another one tonight and the previous house owner understands and already mailed me back my deposit. (We stayed at his house last May too)


I wanted to give a shout out to DISer STL Mickey Mom AKA Lori. She made some gorgeous headbands for my BFF who is having a little girl and her shower is on Saturday. If you need some adorable headbands, check her out!

So funny--I took that same pic at POR in the lobby, but got St. Louis and some other missouri cities. I told DH it was a sign that we were supposed to stay there since our home town was right in the lobby.

I will definitely let you know about February! Our plan right now is Feb 26- March 3. There are no discounts right now & the price tag is kind of scary.. Ha!! I would LOVE to get together!
