I'm REALLY late to the party on this one!! But, I'm glad I'm here --- I just caught up, and it sounds like such a fun trip!

Your boys are adorable! So smiley!

And, we stayed at POR for one night in May, and really loved it too! Such a peaceful resort - we'll be back for sure!

Oh, and hope all the job stuff works out...always nice to know you are appreciated, and to feel like you were listened to!

That play area before Dumbo is genius. I wish all the kid-centered rides had that. The little ones would never know which they enjoyed more, the playground or the attraction.

And it's great that you stepped back and let the family ride Dumbo. Sometimes, as a mom, taking a back seat and really observing the enjoyment on your kids' faces is better than anything else. You got to take in your family's experience and tuck it away for memory's sake.

We gathered up our "bare necessities" and exited the theater to get ready for the 3:00 parade- Festival of Fantasy! This was going to be one of the highlights of the trip for me. I settled the boys with the grown-ups and I set off to go find the boys a favorite snack- Disney popcorn!

As soon as I walked away, I slipped on a wet patch and had to grab on to someone to keep from busting my tail on the ground. EEK... Sorry random person.

I was standing in line for popcorn when I heard the sad words " Due to inclement weather, the Festival of Fantasy parade has been canceled." I was SOOOOOO upset. I really was. It literally rained on my parade.

But MK does have a rainy day parade. Did you guys know that? It was super short but it was pretty cute. There was also a marching band. I felt so bad for the kids. Just to come up all that way and have to march in the rain.

Like I said, it was super short but all in all, I thought it was nice that Disney incorporates it for those bad weather days & in addition, it was a first for us.

After it was over, we headed on over to Adventureland to see what kind of wait POTC had. It ended up having a 50 minute wait ( I was super surprised) so we decided we would hold off on that for nighttime. My dad suggested the Tiki Room and we obliged.

I don't know why but I love this picture of them! Landy is so rotten. Just look at that face!

When we got in the room, I tried to sit down on one of the rows and a CM informed me to go on the next row, that someone had thrown up in the previous show.... #nobueno EWWWWWW... Getting sick period is terrible, but at Disney, 100 x worse!

After the show, it was time to visit a favorite of mine! Aloha Isle to get a DOLE WHIP! I waited in line for about 10 minutes before I got to enjoy my refreshing treat!!

Lawson said he didn't like the dole whip and Landen pitched a fit bc I wouldn't let him hold it by himself. Two years olds!

MIL and my dad got a couple spoons and shared with DH and I and they both said they liked them!

We decided we were ready to head out. It was just too wet and I was ready to get the kids dry and let them rest up. But not before a couple more pictures.

This was behind one of the walls- not sure what it will be but a CM saw us snapping pics and asked us to stop.

Does anyone know? It's right there as you come out of Adventureland if you are heading in the direction of Main Street.

This wet day was definitely not in our plans but we were still happy!

MIL was saying " I finally made it here"! YAY!!

Ready to GO!! LOL

We were supposed to go back to the Contemporary to take our break with my sister but she said they were laying down and they didn't feel good so we headed out to catch our bus back to POR. The ride back was freezing cold! You know how cool they keep them & in addition, we were wet so it was not a good combo!

Pretty soon we were home and this laziness commenced...

I gave the kids a bath to help warm them up some...

I'm going to get you bubby!

I also found a picture I took of our buttons that I described previously...

I am still trying to work out the details of my part time.. It was approved, I just had to type of a proposed work plan but I haven't heard back with a definite but I am hoping I hear by end of week

Tomorrow is the expected 2015 release date for 2015 packages! YAY!! We are shooting for February 26- March 3 but we will probably wait on a bit to book in regard to discounts and such.

Up NEXT: Our magical night in the kingdom to include my sister being surprise with my dad! At this point, I was still having to keep quiet and she had no idea! It was PERFECT and DH got some perfect shots. You don't want to miss! <3 ​

I'm sorry the rain ruined the Festival of Fantasy Parade for you, but at least Disney has the backup plan. I don't think of I've ever seen that short parade in any trip reports, so that was a first for me, also!

I find it strange that the CM asked you to stop photographing the construction area. Good grief! It's not like you climbed over the wall to take the photos!

Your MIL just makes me smile. I love first timers!

Now I'm craving a Dole Whip!

According to Josh from EasyWDW, they are building a pedestrian bridge with a over a year left of to complete. Hopefully it will be complete by our next trip but by them I'm sure they will be working on some thing else.

There's not a thing wrong with your poncho look especially because everybody else looks the same way. The kids and their smiles are always so cute!

I bet that it was tough holding onto the secret. I bet that you were bursting to spring the surprise on your sister.

I would be super disappointed missing the Festival of Fantasy for the first time. This is one of the top things I'm looking forward to. BUT, I've see that Rainy Day Cavalcade once before, and darnit, it sure is cute. Of course, when I saw it there was almost no people and it wasn't raining hard at all, so the interactions were fantastic.

I think what you photographed was part of the Hub expansion. Just making it bigger. Strange they asked you to stop photographing though.

The Country Bears are one of my favorites too...I don't know if it is because it was something we did every time I was there when I was little or what. When I went to it in 2011 I thought the theatre was really small compaired to what I remembered as a child. HAHAHAHAA.

It sucks that you didn't get to see FOF. I am really hoping I get to see it in October, but that is awesome that you still got to see some of the characters in the Rainy Day Parade.

Congratulations on going part-time. Maybe your boss didn't think there was anything wrong with her demeanor until you finally said something. That probably flipped the switch for her. I am sure you will come up with a great schedule to be able to do everything you want to accomplish. It will also give you more time to plan another trip...hahahahaa!!!

I can't wait to see your sister's reaction to seeing your dad!!!! That should be priceless.

I think some rain is ok and can lead to some cute pictures (which you definitely got some of) but bummer about them cancelling the FoF parade

I think that construction is part of the HUB construction going on for the next year(s) - it is kinda odd that they asked you to stop posting pics considering they are already all over the internet

those buses are freezing! Sucks for when it rains like you guys were dealing with ... warm bath certainly sounds like a good idea
