Tried to be sneaky but the trick was on us! A family reunites... June 2014

those Olaf shirts your boys have are great!

Yeah for making the opening show! It reminds me of the steam boat part of Fantasmic! in that there is so much Disney goodness crammed in one place - just gives those feelings :goodvibes

sounds like some sound advice heading right towards Newish Fantasyland and you got so much done quickly.

ooh, excited to find out the surprise!

ROPE DROP!!!!! :dance3:

Don't feel bad Marcie. In all my many many many Magic Kingdom visits, I've seen rope drop... once. :(

AHHHH SHOUT OUT!!!! How sweet are you!!! Bahaha, no pictures. Get them later!!! Wow, you really followed that to the letter, lol.

6-8 minite wait at Enchanted Tales? Yeah I'd say that's good.

So happy (and relieved) that my advice actually paid off. Honestly, that just made my day!!! :yay:

Oh yeah there is all kinds of Disney magic at Fantasmic as well!

Stay tuned for both surprises!

I didn't expect anything different as to your advice! :)) You are the man!!

What a great trip report! Looking forward to more.

First, so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I simply can't imagine.

So many things I've never seen or done. The "Lady of the Grand Floridian" is something I've never heard of. I read the posts on her, sound like a very kind person. Really wish more people would be accepting of others who are a bit different.

I've never made it to rope drop, after seeing posts like yours, I've gotta make it happen. Just looks like a great way to start a day in the park.

Rope Drop is the best way to start a MK day! I'll admit, I've only ever seen it once and my DH hasn't seen it all, but it's completely worth going to see at least once. You're already excited to get into the park, and that show just takes it over the top. You feel like you're going to have an amazing day when you're watching all the characters up on the train station platform.

Good idea about going straight to New Fantasyland. Especially since Landen loved Under the Sea so much! As a parent, it had to have felt good to be able to take him right back on the attraction. (Rather than get stuck in a long line or have to move on to something else.)

What a cute story about the hand kissing. You can't make that stuff up or find it anywhere else but Disney World. :goodvibes

awe, you guys look so cute in your frozen shirts! did DH have one on too?

i'm so impressed you guys made it to rope drop! we made it once, prekid, and have never been able to get ourselves up that early again!

how cool that you got to have fantasyland all to yourselves! and got to ride again on LM! that's how we feel about the tea cups! we could ride those all day!

the boys in ETWB are so cute! how funny that Lawson wouldn't kiss belle's hand. I love how landen is staring up at her in the picture, like he just couldn't believe he was seeing a princess. your boys are just too adorable!

Thank you so much for the kind words & thank you for joining in!

You have to do rope drop someday soon!

Yep! The show takes it over the top for sure! The mayor was a hit too!

I say that all the time about Disney! There is no where else in the world that you experience moments like that... Kind of like the pirates in the MNSSHP last year that pointed at Lawson when he was dressed up as a pirate and then clutched his throat, played pretend sword fight with him u and fell back I'll never forget Laws saying " Mom, did you see that"? He lit up like a Christmas tree! :)

What a way to start the day....opening show at the Magic Kingdom, multiple rides on the new Ariel ride and story time with a Princess! pixiedust:

Yep- we had to sit on towels but I thought that was all resorts... At CBR last year, it was the same way...

At FW, there are actual benches. WL and the Poly, lounge chairs...not sure about the others.

Yes, it was disheartening to know we only had the one day at Magic Kingdom but by all means possible, we were going to live this day up! Starting with our first EVER rope drop!

I can't believe that we had never experienced rope drop before. I CAN tell you, it is a must do for me now. At least once during a trip.

:cool1: Y'all did it!!! How I love a good Rope Drop!!! It's so exciting, isn't it?! It's always a must-do for our family. Plus, by getting there early, you beat the crowds and knock out tons of rides. ::yes:: You captured some super cute pics of the boys :goodvibes

I hate last days, too :( but at least you have another trip planned!

Wow- glad to know that about the benches and lounge chairs! Way better than a dang towel!

The rope drop was most definitely a wonderful first! I still can't believe we hadn't ever done it before! Got lots done that morning!

We last left off as we were getting done with ETWB and our big surprise was about to be revealed to Lawson and Hayden... My sister called me and said they were right in front of Mickey's Philharmonic so after a quick RR break, we headed on over.... Our little surprise that I have been bursting to tell and SO excited about was literally right in front of us. I had my arm around Lawson and kept asking him " Who do you see, Who do you see??"

I may or may not have cried a little...

These pictures mean even more to me now b/c my sister is really going through a hard time and I can't really elaborate but she is in a dark, dark place. It makes it so hard bc she is so far away from me.. I am so worried about her and my nephew. We had such a wonderful time on this weekend and it brings me joy to look at them, but yet, a little sadness too.. Some things have happened with my brother upon our trip home as well ( I will have to get in to that on a later date)... I sometimes feel like now I am the mama of my family and that is a heavy burden to carry.

Anyway- if you can or you are able, send up a prayer for her and my sweet nephew.

The boys really were shocked and so excited to see each other. We only got to hang out for just a few minutes ( but don't worry we meet back up later on)... It was Star Wars' Weekend and the weather had ruined the previous days' parade so they had to scoot on over to "MGM" to catch the parade they had missed.

We decided to head on over to It's a small world... DisneyKid4Life's favorite ride in all of the kingdom.... :rotfl2:

You have to admit that you just can't go to MK without riding it. It's just not the same.

Landen loves looking at all the sights. Who can blame him? All the colors, music, alot going on in this little ride.

After going on the happiest cruise that ever sailed, we went back over to Mickey's Philarmonic...

My cuties with their stunna' shades on.

I love everything about this attraction. Some of my favorite disney songs, combined with some laughs, the water that sprays out and the funny Donald Duck at the end.... What's not to love??

We gathered our things and headed out and low and behold, look who it is...

PAPA TOM!!! AKA My DAD!!! All decked out in his mouse gear....

In this picture, he was hanging Lawson a button that he had gotten for all of us. It is a Disney button that has the Incredibles on it and it says " Family Reunion"... :)

The kids were super surprised, as was I. Although, I had kind of gotten a hunch that he was up to something. See, he came with us when we took my mom in 2012- even though they were divorced and that trip meant so much to me. He helped me out with her ( she had to ride in a wheelchair most of the time)... And he is a pretty big disney fan.. :)

Turns out, he had texted Steve and asked where we were and told him he had just walked in the MK and wanted to surprise us when we walked out....

Well played, daddy, well played...

The surprise was truly on us! Sidenote: He ended up buying an annual pass while he was here.... #mustbenice :))))

In other news, We had Lawson's party this past weekend.. We had a cookout and we had his first big sleepover... Loads of fun and we can't believe we have a 6 year old!!

You think he's wishing for more Disney trips??

Also in addition, I am ( pretty much 95 percent positive) that I am putting my notice in at work next week.. EEEEKKKK... I'm sort of nervous, as I prayed so long for another job when I lost mine last year but I am MISERABLE there and it is affecting me outside of work.... I am going to keep a few kids afterschool when school starts back and really by the time I don't pay daycare/afterschool for mine ( plus we are hoping for a 3rd sometime this year) and not spending the $ in gas ( 40 minute drive each way) it just makes sense... I've also applied to work in a church, 3 mornings a week and if I did that, I would put Landen in the church preschool that Lawson went too.. I'm just tired of being treated bad, missing everything in my kids' lives and not making my family my priority and dreading going to work everyday. Any advice??

I'm in need of a Disney trip in the worst way!

What great pictures of Lawson and your nephew! Just priceless! Nice surprise to see your dad also.

Belated happy birthday to your little guy!

I completely understand how you feel about working. I stayed at home with our three daughters while they were young. Money was tight, but we made it work. I went back to work when the youngest went to kindergarten. You need to do what is right for you and your family.

that's so hard....I understand about work being stressful and spilling out into life. I go through phases when i'm sure I should quit, then everything is fine, then I think it's time to move on again. you have to do what works for you and makes you and your family happy. you'll know what's right for you all!

and prayers for your family too.....

speaking of family---the pictures of the kids are too cute! did you all plan on having everyone in their frozen outfits, or was that just coincidence? the outfits were sure cute!

ahh, it's a small world.....my least favorite, favorite ride. can't go to MK without riding, can't stand the song stuck in my head all day! :rotfl:

we love philharmagic too! it's so fun!

Hmm, I'm sorry to hear about all your troubles in your real life. I hope everything works out all right. And if you believe you and your family are going to be happier emotionally/mentally if you quit your job, then you should follow your gut and do what's best for your family.

Aww, what great reactions to the surprise! Those boys must have been so excited to see one another. They just look like they've got mischief up their sleeves.:goodvibes:rotfl:

And look at that, a surprise meet for you, as well! How cool!

It sounds like this trip is turning into something extraordinary.:thumbsup2

Saying a prayer for your sister and nephew.

What a great surprise from your dad!! I love seeing surprises like this.

Thanks Annie!! I'm just having a rough time and I know I have to let something go that is impacting me negatively and this is the #1 cause!! Maybe I can move to Disney and work?! Lol!!

What wonderful surprises for both the kids and for you! I'm sorry to hear that your sister is going through a rough time and I'll be sure to say a prayer for your sister and nephew.

Your plan to quit sounds like a good one. If you truly aren't happy at work, it really does spill over into your personal life as well. It's tough to come home in a good mood and happy to see everybody if you have had a crappy day every day.
