Friday Feb 23rd:
My birthday dinner at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe. We loved the food!
DH and I shared a BBQ Chicken Pizza as appitizer. It was really good!
I had the Pumpkin Ravioli as my entree- Brown butter sauce with fried sage, port wine glaze, toasted pine nuts and aged parmesan...it was so good!
DH had Grandma Puck's "Bolognese" - Fettuccine, classic meat sauce with veal, pork and beef ...WOW it was yummy!
Kids 3 & 6 had mini burgers and Pizza which I divided between them...the Pizza was a hit but the mini burgers bombed with my kids (They were handmade burgers on crusty rolls which I would have loved! But the kids wanted uniform patties on a boring bun
)
We finished with a shared flourless chocolate cake. I loved it..DH thought it was just a fancy brownie
Kids had Make Your Own Sundae Artist's Palette - vanilla ice cream, chocolate chip cookie, chocolate and caramel sauce and M&M's- BIG HIT
While we loved the food, the atmosphere was not what we were expecting...it was like a Chuck E. Cheese in there...I know its Disney, but I thought it would be a little nicer. It was too loud to hear my DH talk. It was an early dinner (5:30), so maybe a later time would be better
Sunday Feb 25th: Biergarten
I was concerned about my DS6 sharing a table with other guests...he's Autistic and unpredictable. He did great! He loved the Oompah Band..He danced and sang! It was wonderful.
The food was good for the most part...the salads were excellent, yummy pretzel bread, delicious roasted pork! The Bratwurst was a little dry and the kids menu was a little lacking (Mac and cheese and mini hot dogs) But the desserts more than made up for it!
We would try both places again!
