New to Tricare here. Checking out the Johns Hopkins US Family Health Plan option

Anyone here had any experience with the plan?

Thanks

We have the US Family Health Plan but it's the Martin's Point one. I have found them very friendly when I've had to call them. I have found only one eye care place close to me that takes them, which is a pain but what can ya do?

Thanks, Sarah:thumbsup2

I have been reading lots of good things:thumbsup2 about the plan but it is tough trying to pick a doctor at random due to some preexisting conditions we are already dealing with:confused3

thanks:)

I agree--we get GREAT coverage!! Can't beat the plan, but sometimes it's difficult to find providers who accept it for whatever reason. Also, our baby required a couple visits to Boston Children's Hospital and it was a pain coordinating that because it's out of state. But, I'm thankful for great health care coverage.

We chose Tricare Prime, and it's really helping quite a bit. The referrals are a pain if the other end procrastinates, but DH hasn't let that happen for long at all.
Our copays are $12 for office visits, in-patient procedures have been quoted at $25 and hospital stays have been quoted at $11 per night. And any prescriptions that we can get filled on base are free.

Just be methodical, and persistant and matter-of-fact, and everything should work out for you.

Thanks for the info and advice, Flower. And good luck on winning the lotto.:cool1: Hope you played tonight:woohoo:
