is there no triathlon scheduled for this year? i can't seem to find any current information.

There is not an "official" Disney Triathlon anymore, but there are numerous events there.

The Florida 1/2 IM is in May, The Athletes for a Cure (Olympic) Tri is in September (I've registered for this one already), & I think there is a Danskin Woman's Tri in the Spring.

The Danskin is now Danskin-SheROX on May 10th. And they added another women's sprint - Trek Triathlon Series is on Sept 6. Both are at Ft Wilderness and are women only.

Where does the swim take place- Ft Wilderness? What about the possibility of gators??????? One at CSR last week! I would be afraid to just get in the water anywhere in Fl.

The swim is in Bay Lake, from the shore of Ft. Wilderness. Don't remind me about the gators... I'm trying really hard not to think about that! There will be lifeguard boats and swim angels at Danskin, and I would assume at Trek, also. As long as you are not in the first wave, and stay inside the boat perimeter, I would think it is alright. Although, I'm also worried about the amoebas in the water that come from high temps. But, it's Disney, and it's gonna be so much fun!!!
