DH and I are taking our DD down to Disney in October and she will be 3/4 months old at the time of the trip. We are going down with my dad, stepmom, brother (7) and sister (5). My brother really wanted TRex so I made the ressie but now I am concerned it might be too loud for DD and we might need to sit that one out. Thoughts?

That was my major complaint. I found it to be extremely loud especially during prime dining hours.

I think you might be surprised by what a baby finds to be "too loud." I remember visiting WDW when my youngest daughter was about 6 months old. We took her to the "Tarzan Rocks" show (or whatever it was called) at Animal Kingdom. This was a show loosely based on the Tarzan movie that had a rock band performing at what was, for me, ear-splitting volume - it was so loud, I almost got up and left in the middle of the show. My 6-month-old? She slept through the whole show!

All babies are different, but writing something off now because you are worried that it may be "too loud" is probably a bit premature at this point.

It's very loud. Lucky for her she too young to try the food.:rotfl2:

We took DD and DS (4 and 7 at the time), and it was too loud for DD. They have "Meteor Showers" that occur about every 15 minutes or so (similar to the T-Storms at Rainforest Cafe) with lights flashing and dinos roaring, etc... There are several different sections of the restaurant, and each has its own Meteor Shower that occur intermittently, so while yours may have just finished, if you are close enough to a different section, theirs may happen sometime within the 15 minute window before your next one.

Personally I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 6, and even then, I would only recommend it if the kid(s) are into dinos. With that being said, I am fully aware that my kids do not react to things the same way all kids do, so it may be perfectly fine for some.

We just ate there on 5/29/10. It was rather loud. Even for my husband who had his ears plugged up since we had just landed earlier that morning. We sat right next to the kitchen with the fire and the roasting chickens. So we were close to the ice cave. That was beautiful to look at, despite the noise. It was one of the best places we ate all week long, and we did do the Rain Forest Cafe as well. It is very noisy but we loved it. LOVED the NACHOS  I think it depends on the person and if you can block it out. We did.

YES, very very loud...after abour 30 min I was READY to GO! Too much for me.

We were there in Feb and my youngest was 3mos. I have three other children and this baby is used to loud but he hated every minute at TRex. He would just get settled and the noises would start again. I could hardly even talk to my other children because it was so loud. It was a miserable meal.
