Trends that you're tired of. Trends that you love.

Do you live near the Park City Center?

I love outlets.
We have the Prime outlets, I can't even name all the stores there. xD
It's really nice and the prices are decent.

Lancaster is about 3 hours away. The outlets are only nice on a weekend. I'm so used to it I don't see anything special about it. During the weekends we get busloads of people from NYC.

Our mall is down the street. It's an open air mall and really nice. It has JC Penney's and Forever 21.

I really like Mashell's though. They had a Juciy shirt for 60 dollars.

Ohhh. I was thinking you were closer. :rotfl2: But yeah I love Park City Center. I always go there when I visit relatives in Lancaster.
I don't really get to go to outlets much. They're pretty far away from me.

The only thing that bugs me is the band tees and not even knowing 2+ songs of theirs. My friend and I were in Target once and she saw a Beatles shirt and was like OMG I looooveee the Beatles! I was like no you don't, name 3 songs and she just like glared at me.

Also I don't really get the shutter shades...I've never seen anyone [besides celebrities] actually wearing them around, just in stores. :confused3

Trends I love;

Converse
Band tees [if you know the band  ]
Aviator sunglasses
Scarves
Vests
Casual dresses [like wearing dresses out, not only formally]...I don't think I could pull it off, but it looks cute when people can.
High heels with skinny jeans. Again, if you can pull it off.

Okay, I admit it, I wear Crocs. :rotfl: But they're super super comfy [I know, excuses excuses xD] and they have some really cute styles. I'm wearing Celeste Canvas ones right now and I LOVE them. :teeth: I've tried wearing Converse to a theme park once, wow that didn't work. xD

The closest mall to me is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, and you won't find any Sears or Hollister there...
Nobody dresses like they're black here or anything though, so there's not a lot of bad trends happening.
But there are a lot of ugly clothes too, like.. REALLY ugly, not as bad as anything Betty from Ugly Betty would wear, but still ugly.

There needs to be some rule about band tee shirts. You can only wear them if you know at least 3 songs. :rotfl:

Crocs are hideous. I used to have a pink pair and I hated them with a passion.

Only three songs?
I'd say like.. more than half their albums.

That sounds better. You must know at LEAST half of their songs on any given album. If it is an album that more then 5 years old you must know at LEAST 3 songs from that album.

Trends I Love
Converse
Trends I Hate
People Listening to AC/DC and bashing modern music..(i hate ac/dc with a burning passion)
Shuttershades
Wearing Baggy Jeans...

Listening to AC/DC automatically makes it forbidden to share your opinion on modern music, just because you don't like them?
You don't like them, but others do, and they should have the right to share their opinion on music.
And that's not a trend...

I'm one of those people who shouldn't wear skinny jeans. I have short legs, and i'm short myself..
But whatever, they're the most comfortable and I think I look good in them.

Cardigans are nice, but I have a hard time finding ones that fit me. They're usually REALLY too long due to my small and short body.

ITA about the skinny jeans. im only 5'1 and my legs are anything but long. I still adore the skinny jeans though!!

You have a good point. I updated my post.

Like I said before people...band tees are NOT a trend. They will never BE a trend. Hot Topic, which is one of the newer ways to get a band tee, has been open since before some of you were born, and they've ALWAYS had band tees.

I own probably over 50 or 60 band tees. I don't see how owning a small number of band tees makes you more "legit". I know all the songs from all the bands I have shirts for. I mean, I have multiple shirts for the same band.

The mall I work in is the largest in northern california, and is due to get larger (to approximately 2.1 million square feet). We have almost every store imaginable. I have everyone from skater/scene kids to really creepy old men come into my store/the mall.

I'm probably one of those people who shouldn't wear skinnies as well. When you're usually in joddies 24/7 though skinnies don't really seem that tight at all. I'm only 5ft, my calves may be practically non-existant but I have thunder thighs (all muscle!). So yeh I'm pretty sure people look at me and think ooh honey you should not be in those! xD

I hate the trend of deceit by the government.

I hate that they're creating mindless citizens of half-educated people.

I could like, SO do without the small town American patriotism!

My calves don't exist either.
I've got these huge thighs, and wide hips... but from a little bit above my knee all the way to my ankle, there's nothing there. It's so hard to find good pants because of that.

My mall is pretty decent. It's just down the street and it's got about everything that any normal mall has. AF,AE,Aero,Forever21,Delias,Charlotte Russe (<3),Claires,HotTopic,FinishLine,Nike, and more small stores I'm forgetting. Plus we have a couple of department stores; JCPenneys, Sears, Dillards.

- I loveee how comfortable skinny jeans are (which I definitely didn't think they would be) but I don't actually own any. It's just one of those things I haven't had the courage to buy yet, since anything with 'skinny' in the name is kinda scary. Lmao.

the Whole "huge sunglasses, jeans tucked into huge boots and like 15 really tight shirts on". Skinny jeans are ok but when you combine it with like 15 different shirts it's just annoying. I mean seriously you look like a bug wearing spandex rofl

And I love Ac/DC and I wear their shirts all the time. It's not just to look "cool" it helps me find other people who actually like them lol.

I hate the hair poof. It looks like a bird's nest. WHY???

I don't care for Uggs with sweatpants tucked into them. You might as well have walked out in your pajamas.

I hate the orange skin look. It looks ridiculous. Stop being an oompa loompa.

Neon clothing looks ridiculous. Lime green tights, shirts, pants....it looks STRAIGHT out of an 80s exercise video! Especially if paired with a hippie headband (also goofy looking).

I like the Ray Ban wayfarers and aviators. Love them!!!

I don't really mind Uggs in general though. I have this pair, called Ultimate Short and I have it in chocolate. They are more like real boots that you can use in the snow and now slip. http://www.uggaustralia.com/Product...oryID=283&productID=5275&model=Ultimate+Short

I like leggings. I think they look cute.

Trends I like... well, flannel caps with ear flaps and tassels seem to be in. I've seen a lot of those lately, on both guys and girls, and they look goofy but I love them! I've liked those hats forever, worn a few myself, and all of a sudden, uh, I can see just how strange they look. :rotfl: But I do like it. It's a cute little trend.

A style/trend I don't like is the look a ton of kids seem to be picking up on the last few years with the tight black/grey/red, the baggy black pants with chains, the appropriate accessories, and the dyed hair. There are so many variations on this style, but they all manage to look exactly the same. And the dye especially gets to me; it almost always looks unnatural, and I just don't get why every single person feels the need to have jet black hair with blue or red highlights. :confused2:

(Not trying to insult anyone who might be into that look, I'm just not into it.)

And I'm a Croc defender. Regular clown-shoes, fancy nicer-Crocs, Mammoth-Crocs, they're all good with me. (Even though I only own one pair. lmao.) Y'all better recognize the rubber. :snooty:
