Does anyone know how many there are? Has anyone stayed in one? Are they hard to get? Are they nice? We are looking to book in March and saw that a treehouse villa was 30 points less than a two bedroom at Kidani.

Appreciate any thoughts???

There are 60, of which 30 have been declared and can be reserved by DVC members on points. Are they hard to get? That depends on who you talk to. The general contention is...YES! There have been reports of people NOT getting them at 10 or 11 months out. I had some MAJOR pixie dust and angels watching over me one day...I tried at 7 months and 2 days later my waitlist came through. I have NO idea how that happened. :confused3 Anyway...we check in NEXT SATURDAY! So ...no pictures yet. We are VERY excited about our stay there!

Here is a great informational thread with pictures...

They are wonderful. Secluded, beautiful, we had a great water view. It is so relaxing there. A retreat from the mouse madness. We only had four adults at the time so there was plenty of room. There are 3 bedrooms. One master with a queen bed, a second with a queen bed, the third has bunk beds, and there is a full sleeper sofa and single sleeper chair in the living room. So they sleep nine. Fantastic. Enjoy! :goodvibes

Agreed, they are fabulous. We really enjoyed our stay in one this last January. In addition to what Cee has said, each unit has it's own bbq grill right at the base of the steps, plus your own deck with table & chairs. And for any technical junkies, there are 4 flat panel tvs - one in each bedroom plus the living room. I have pics and info about our stay in my "Triple Whammy" TR below in my signature if you're interested. We stayed in a Treehouse first on that trip with my folks. We really enjoyed having the 3 bedrooms and the living room - so that after the kids were in bed, the adults had a nice comfy place to visit without having to sit in a one or the other bedroom like we needed to do when we moved over to Kidani.

I have never stayed there but We were able to get 2 THV for May 1st-7th at the 11 Mo. mark. We used our points to bring my parents and my brothers family down. The least I could do since my parents are taking us on a cruise right after.

Cast member did say there were plenty available when I booked.

We loved our THV stay! It is nice and secluded. Ours was located right beside the boat dock and only a short walk from the pool. We loved having the 3rd bedroom and the 2 bedroom points price. We usually have a car so transportation is not an issue for us. We did take the bus once to the parks and it was a hassle getting the stroller in and out of the THV loop bus then transferring to the SSR bus so on the way back we just got off the bus at the Grandstand and walked back to our Treehouse.

We would DEFINITELY stay in one again. It's our 2nd choice of where to stay after a Sav view room at Kidani.

They have no king beds. And only two bathrooms to be shared.

That was DH's only complaint about the THV - there is a Queen in the master suite instead of a King (even though it looked like there would be plenty of room for a King). Also there were no locks on the Master Bedroom door in our unit but not sure if that is like that on all of them or just an oversight on ours.

Hoping to book a THV next sumer. Just wondering how far a walk it is to the pool?

Thanks, Karen

We might be neighbors ;) We will be arriving to WDW on Friday at BCV's until a friend and her kids come in on Sunday when we move over to THV's....staying there until the next Saturday when she leaves and we go to BWV's 1 bedroom....lots of moving this trip!

Haha, no problem we will have kids running amock...we have three adults, two 5 y/o's (boy girl/twins) a 4 y/o and a 1 y/o. We will be the ones with all the strollers. I am hoping the THV's will give us enough room to seperate the kids a bit and help with naps.

I booked a little bit after the 11 month window opened and didn't have a problem booking and ended up dropping a couple days at the end when we decided to move down to the one bedroom when our friend and her kids leave.

:cool2: I'll look for LOTS of strollers. :rotfl: Those bunk beds were made for your twins!

We booked at the ten month window for May 14-22, 2011 and had no problem with availablity. I was told that they only allow one car at each tree house, which will be a problem for us. You have to park the extra cars over at SSR! We have two families with a total for 4 kids, four adults. So we will have two mini vans.
We are reconsidering now and are gonna try for BCV instead at the 7 month mark.

They ask you to park the second vehicle near the Grandstand, so you are only about five minutes from the second vehicle.
