Treehouse Villas - need unit location advice

A while back we were able to secure a THV unit for 9 days for this upcoming July 10th - 18th timeframe. This will be our first stay at the THV. We requested a unit next to the pool. Member Services put it into the reservations system as a request for a "pool view". I'm looking for some help from those of you that have done the room request drill at SSR / THV and can provide some advice. Should we call DVC MS to re-confirm this location? Should I just call the SSR front desk to confirm? If so, what timeframe should I make that phone call?

Any help and/or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would just leave it as is. We've had two wonderful stays at THV. I made a general request for the first stay when I made the reservation and it was honored. Made the same general request for the second and noted how much we loved our first villa. We were so pleasantly surprised to get the same exact villa for our second stay. So they do read the requests.

Of course, honoring that request depends on such a villa being available on your checkin day.

I requested golf course view close to pool for our stay in feb/march and that is exactly what we got. This area is also close to the path to SSR. Be advised that our rental windshield was damaged by an errant golf ball. Still loved the location and the THVs though.
