Would these work at all for us. We have 9 in our party 3 children and I thought this would sleep all of us. I worry about transportation. My husband cannot walk all day long so we always get him a ecv. Does the Disney buses come here and if so how long is walk or do you have to transfer again. Our other option is too get three rooms at a moderate with points.

The layout of the THV is master 1 queen, bedroom 2 - 1 queen bed, bed 3 bunk beds, pull out couch and chair in living room for a total of 9 places to sleep which will be tight for 6 adults and 3 kids. To get anywhere you have to take the bus to SSR then get on a bus to the park.(transfer) I personally would not stay there unless I had a car. I LOVE the THV but transportation is not great. We have used the bus system there but always walked over to SSR Grand Stand area and picked up the bus there, not too bad since our villa was close to the pathway. The walk was less then 10 minutes from our villa. Good luck in your decision!

If I may ask - why 3 moderate rooms instead of 3 studios someplace? Or are you not looking to book on points?

My brother's family of three is traveling with us and if it we weren't staying all together he would be paying out of pocket and we were going to use the current 25% of moderate deal for him.

I hadn't thought of three studios

Could you swing a 2BR and studio at OKW? The rooms there are HUGE, and they require way less points than the newer resorts. And OKW is lovely, peaceful, and family friendly....

When was OKW last updated. We were there in December of 2009 and I thought the beds were uncomfortable and it was a little run down. We also waited alot for bus transportation. What would be the best buildings to request if we went this way.

Just stayed at THV over Chistmas. :santa: We had 4 adults and 5 kids and 1 "infant" (slept with her mom and dad). The Bus in the THV runs over to SSR springs station then you transfer to other buses, there are two "stations" in the THV for this bus. We were in 7004 just inside the gate and the bus pick up was down the street about 300 ft, the other is in the back of the loop near the pool. There were some of the handicap villas right near the stop, they were maybe around the 7010 room number (not positive). The boat dock to DTD was about halfway to the back on the west side. Transportation is an issue if you dont plan for the extra time it takes to get the bus in the THV then ride to SSR and then wait for the bus there. The room would work if one family did not mind being in the livingroom on the pull out couch and chair with 2 adults in master, 2 in 2nd bedroom, 2 kids in bunks in 3rd and kid on pull-out chair and 2 adults on pull-out couch. Depnds on how "close" you are... :grouphug: :)
