Hi all, been a long time since I visited these boards....last trip was 2008, I think! I was wondering, I see people on the boards get ro discounts on Wdw resorts rooms through Travelocity and orbitz? I am looking at visiting my favorite place in the whole world in May 2014. When I look at these two sites, I am told there are no rooms for these dates? Am I just trying too early?
Thanks, all and it's good to be back;)

I would go through WDW, I didn't know that Orbitz and Travelocity had WDW resorts. WDW on July 10 just opened up for 2014. Where are you tring to stay? A Value, Mod or deluxe?

I shop them all, and depending on your date you can sometimes different room availability, and even better pricing at Orbitz or Travelocity. Occasionally they also have special code discounts to look for , too.

Always goes back to putting in the time to look, keep checking, keep looking, and ...well, it's not easy, but it's usually worth it.
Good luck!

I'd recommend going to ebates and signing up there and then seeing which of the travel sites is offering the most cash back at the time. Right now that'd be Travelocity on hotels at 6.5% cash back. It's free to sign up on their site so no risk there plus I've found that the prices you pay on either Orbitz or Travelocity is similar to Disney.

I just booked Pop Century for August via Travelocity and will be getting around $30 back. I also bought my tix via ebates/orbitz and will be getting a little over $100 back on my 3 day (+ 2 free days) park hopper tickets! Woot for saving money!

Thanks, all. This site is always so helpful! Cannot wait to start planning!:)

Keep checking. I originally booked at POR Royal rooms in April 2013. I went through Disney with the % off offer. Then reading on here I saw people were getting Disney's % off rate plus an additional 20% off from Orbitz. I went through ebates to Orbitz and booked the same exact room that I had with Disney for 200.00 less. It was awesome. The room I ended up in was FANTASTIC. We had an awesome river/garden view and paid for a garden view. Had I not shopped around I would have spent 200.00 more!
