Travelling to WDW via Mears with grocery stop.

Has anyone taken their own Mears transport to WDW lately and had them stop at a grocery store for you to pick up a few things?

I noticed on their website that both one way and chartered trips only allow for a 5 minute stop before you incur an overage fee calculated by the minute. This sounds like it could get spendy really quickly.

Has anyone found any other service that drives you and allows for a longer stop? Say 15-30 minutes? We do not want to rent a car (We used to when one could get a rental right at the train station, but they took that away in late 2019 or so.), and we'd rather a service that will stay and wait for us so we don't have to get a ride to the resort, drop off all of our stuff, and then go right back out again in another Uber/Lyft.

We could have things delivered, but we'd rather just hit up Trader Joe's and let everyone in the family grab what they think looks good, kwim? But if that's going to run up a ridiculous bill, then we'll have to just deal with having groceries delivered instead.

Tiffany Towncar includes a 30 minute grocery stop. BUT they may want to stop someplace which is between MCO and your hotel. If you specifically want to go to Trader Joe's rather than Publix, you should ask before you book. (We once told the driver where we wanted to stop and she refused to go to that store because it would be out of the way. We didn't think to ask before we booked.)

FL Tours advertises a 15-minute grocery stop. I don't know if they are strict about wanting you to stay within that time limit. You could spend at least half that time waiting at the check-out line, and shopping in an unfamiliar store takes longer than shopping in a store where you know what is in each aisle.

I have not used Tony Hinds or Mears.

Tradder Joe's isn't that far from Universal. Its way out of the way if you're going to WDW. I don't think it'll work as a free stop. I'd either go with the store picked by the driver or ask for a price for a Trader Joe's stop. I think it will be expensive.

TJ is only 6 miles from Disney Springs so if you are staying at SSR or OKW it should not be a problem if you go to the one on Sand Lake Rd.

We're actually traveling from the train station to WDW, which should have us passing by both Universal and the area in which Trader Joe's is located.

I'll definitely be doing some calling around to the different companies brought up here closer to the time of our trip and I will ask about the things you have mentioned. Thanks again!

Just ask for a quote including a 30 minute stop at TJs. I have no idea how long the lines are at TJs. Maybe the quote will be a little more expensive.

I'll be doing that, but with their website specifically stating 5 minutes and then a charge per minute, I was just wondering if there were other options out there I might not be thinking about that I should.
As for car services picking up at the train station, it's not something we've had to do before since previously we rented a car. With that option now more complicated, we're now thinking about Uber/Lyft/and car services. We have no experience using any of those in connection to a WDW trip, so I'm open to hearing people's experiences & advice.
