Travelling to Anaheim from LAX

we caught the DL Express last time, I think it's like $30 return p/p? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm looking into the shuttle this time, or other cheaper options, being from Oz, we don't really want to drive, but may consider it... :confused3

I'm going to keep checking hotwire and maybe priceline for a rock-bottom price on a rental car.

But if that never happens (or if hubby continues to NOT want a car) we'll most likely use Grayline's Disneyland Express. That is a bus with no seatbelts, and therefore you cannot use a carseat or booster.

There is also Super Shuttle, which is a van with seatbelts, so you could use the booster.

There are others, like limos and such, but I've given the three options we've used and enjoyed. :)

Last couple of times we went we just used whichever service was the first to arrive. I've used Super Shuttle a number of times and they were fantastic. Last time we used another company Red Vans or something like that. Can't remember, but they were good as well.
When my daughter was small enough to require a booster seat we always took one from home, but that was awhile ago now.
With regard to car rental, I've never bothered at Disneyland and have never wished I had one. We have used ART and found it to be quite good and also inexpensive. It is $4.00 adult for a 1 day pass. $10.00 for a three day pass. Children over three it is $1.00 and $2.00. You can pre-purchase tickets and pick them up at your hotel or you can get them when you arrive.

"would hiring a car for the 3 days we're at Disney = the cost of shuttles to Disney"

YOu mean the shuttles from the airport to your hotel, right? You weren't planning to drive to the parking structures at DLR, yes?

I answered based on the idea of the car rental being the same or lower than SuperShuttle or Disneyland Express, b/c the car would just sit at the hotel while you were in that area.

Oh, also make sure your hotel doesn't charge extra for parking, b/c that will increase the cost of a car rental, if you were thinking of doing that. :) (some places just charge a resort fee no matter what, like the disney hotels...others only charge if you're parking a car there)

We usually get a limo/taxi for the ride from airport to DL (hate to drive in traffic) and if we want to go further after our funtime at Disneyland there are 2 rental companies, Alamo (in DTD) and Hertz (just down the street), both rental agencies said they have pickup services at the hotel if you want. :)

We aren't taking our carseats as the airlines are hard on them but also now it comes out of the childs luggage allowance so only leaves them with one bag for 2weeks worth of clothes and shopping. This is with Air NZ though and I checked with Qantas and they confirmed the same thing. Not sure what V-Australia would be like.

You don't need the carseat on the coach but do on the shuttle.

We are doing a rental car for 2 days and the carseats from them are $13 a day per child.
