From the Eurostar website:

The French border authorities have recently changed their policy and increased their checks for all travellers entering France. With this extra passport check and a busy bank holiday weekend, we’re asking our travellers to arrive at the station earlier than usual by allowing 45 minutes for check in.

Arrive 45 minutes before departure - Check-in opens 60 minutes before your train leaves and there are plenty of seats, as well as places to buy food and drinks on the other side.

Be security savvy - You can take liquids with you, so there’s no fuss with miniature bottles and see-through bags. Just pop your luggage, jacket and metal bits and bobs in a tray and go through.

Have your passport ready - It’ll be checked by UK and French authorities after security.

We’re very sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause – please rest assured that we’re working closely with the authorities to find a smoother solution
