Hi All

I have never used TCs before so this may sound like a daft question!!

We have signed the cheques but there is also a space for the date - do you put the date on which you signed them or do you date them when you actually spend them??

Also, is there ettiquete (sp?) in using them...i.e you buy something for $15 and do you use $20, $50 or $100 or don't they mind??

Thanks guys :)

Hi,

It is very rarely that I have to put the date on them ( it is the date you cash them) as the shop/bank usually has a stamp to put the Payee name and the date.

I generally try to use the $20/$50 for the smaller purchases.

They should be signed by you as soon as possible. No dates should be entered until they are cashed. Some shops will tell you that they will not take large cheques for small transactions.
