I have a question regarding travellers cheques. I have a low limit on my credit card and I was planning to pay for room and park tickets with travellers cheques. I would like to be able to use the resort cards in the parks but because I have a low limit on my credit card would they take travellers cheques to cover the charges? I wanted to keep my card balance clear for emergencies.
Thanks!
Melinda

Yes. Although I have not done it myself .. I have seen it posted many times on the resorts board that you can use cash instead of a credit card to cover charges.

Just let them know you want to pay by cheques when you check in and you can sign over the amount in full, or close to it. You will still need to provide a credit card so that you can charge purchases to your room key. The night before you check out, you can pay the balance on your account with cheques if you don't want the charges to hit your credit card the next day (at midnight they charge it....they don't waste time!).

We purchased our cheques when the $ was higher than the US, so it was worth it for us to pay using the cheques. When they hit your Can credit card, you are dinged big time with the loss in foreign exchange.

Just let them know immediately you want to pay by travellers cheques and be prepared to prepay your room at the beginning of your trip.

yes, you can pay with traveller cheques. We have done this before.

Use your key to the world card and you'll have a nicely itemized printout too.
You can pay off your balance daily, at the end of your stay or any # of times during your visit.
