Traveling with wedding dress and bridal party gowns

For all of you who have shipped your dress, what is the best way to pack it?

I bought my dress on eBay so it came in the manufacturer's shipping carton - I just used that. And let me tell you, they didn't exactly give my dress the royal treatment! It was folded in thirds and stuffed into a plastic bag. I was surprised how small a box they got it into! In the end, it didn't really matter because the dress was going to be steamed anyway.

Thanks for the tip...My mother is set on NOT sending the dress anywhere...I'm just don't want TSA to open it in front of DH-should it get snagged to be looked at...

That's why I wrapped it in the sheet! In case TSA did open it it was wrapped. DH also knew it was in there so if anything happened where they had to open the case I would've just told him to not look.

The sheet also came in handy as I kept my dress in the room and I was able to keep it covered with the sheet too!
