Traveling with paper

Hi. What is the best way to go scrapping and retreats with 12 by 12 sheets of paper?
I am going to a weekend retreat in a week and I want ideas how to take ALOT of papers. I don't want to be sorting through them all weekend.

I have 2 plastic cubes to store paper, one is for solid and one is for patterned. I group them by theme (patterned) and color (solid).

I store and carry my paper in the Iris 12 x 12 containers that they sell at Michael's. I always hit the stores in AL when we travel there on vacation and the containers are perfect for bringing paper home.

I carry my 12 x 12 paper is the CM power layout box especially when we fly to FL for SDV. I know the papers won't get damaged in transit, although the TSA agents aren't too thrilled. Apparently the scan doesn't go thru paper and they have to hand search the suitcase.

I use the Iris containers also. I picked up a file carrier on wheels at Office Depot that will carry 3 containers and extra stuff. I have one for solids, one for patterns and one for Scouts.

Not sure if you are driving or flying, but if you are driving, I recommend a 12 x 12 expandable accordion type file. I bought two of them years ago when I was able to get ALL of my paper in just those! My paper collections has expanded in a HUGE way over the years, but I still use those two files for my paper when I travel. They hold more than enough paper for a week and they close and have a hard cover and a handle for easy carrying. I know I got mine at Walmart years ago.. not sure exactly where you could find them now, but they are SO handy. And in a pinch I can fit them both inside my extra large rolling scrap tote, along with some punches and other tools.
