Hi all,

I will be traveling to WDW in September with my family to celebrate my birthday and my daughter's birthday at the park then on DCL. I was wondering if anyone knows any tips or tricks or quiet spots that I can sneak off to get away when I need to get away. There are certain rides I need to stay away from but there are things I really need to stay away from. Just need a way to destress when I need to.

We stayed at Caribbean Beach resort last week. There is a nice, quiet section at the resort called Caribbean Cay that has secluded areas with lots of lush vegetation, singing birds, and places to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds. My wife and I found it very peaceful and relaxing, and a nice way to get away from the "maddening crowds".

Also, at CBR, you have the resort pools which are quiet and far the OPR. Caribbean Cay is great, and the deck overlooking the lake is relaxing as well.

First aide in any park is a good idea, and it's air conditioned too! If you want to venture outside a park, the nearby resorts are a nice break. At Epcot you can walk over to BC and find a quiet spot, the Solarium is nice. At MK there's 3 resorts close by to find a quiet spot in the lobby in a corner.
DHS has some nice quiet spots near the back of the park in Streets of America area, benches on streets. But no shade.

We have a whole board for tips on traveling with medical issues. :) I'll move your thread there.

Welcome to the disABILITIES Forum! :welcome:

This link is the Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities. You may not have a "cognitive" disability but I share this specifically for pages 35-36 which mentions spots in each park that may be quieter for taking a break away from the hubub.

Enjoy your birthday vacation!
